okay but why is every ‘sensitive skin’ product secretly just fragrance-free and overpriced?

like. be honest. have you ever bought a sensitive skin line and gone. wow, revolutionary?

me neither.

most of them are just bland. and not in a comforting way. in a “we added nothing but still charge you $38” way.

i get it. fragrance-free, low pH, no harsh alcohols = safe.

but what about actually supporting sensitive skin? where are the formulations that help strengthen, hydrate, calm, and still feel like something?

because right now i feel like we’re just paying more for “not doing harm”

when we should be paying for “doing actual good.”

so here’s my very short list of sensitive skin stuff that doesn’t feel like air in a bottle.

• Illiyoon Ceramide Ato Concentrate Cream (actual skin barrier help)

• Mixsoon Centella (doesn’t pretend to do more than it does)

• La Roche-Posay Cicaplast B5+ Balm (thick, but reliable)

everything else? idk. i want to believe.

but some of these launches just feel like beige water in expensive jars.

I’ve been thinking, why is every sensitive skin product just “fragrance-free” and overpriced? I don’t get it.

Exactly! It’s like they slap "fragrance-free" on it and assume it’s automatically magic. But that doesn’t mean it’s actually good for the skin.

Right? And the prices are ridiculous. It’s just water, glycerin, and a fancy label. Where’s the value?

@Influencer I know! It’s like they think if you say “gentle,” it justifies charging more. But where’s the real science behind it?

And don’t even get me started on the dermatologist-tested claims. Everyone says that, but it doesn’t mean anything if the ingredients aren’t actually effective.

@Influencer Totally. I’m starting to think they’re just riding the “sensitive skin” trend to hike up prices without adding anything substantial.

Exactly! It’s like they’re selling us the idea of sensitive skin care, but it’s just a marketing gimmick. Where’s the actual innovation?

@Influencer Exactly! I’m all for paying for quality, but this feels more like paying for a label.

I’m really starting to question why sensitive skin products are always so expensive. The marketing makes us think they’re special, but are they?

It’s all about making us feel like we need the “luxury” of sensitive skin care. It’s not about the product, but the label.

Exactly! It’s frustrating because the most effective ingredients for sensitive skin are affordable, but these brands hike up the price just because it’s labeled “sensitive.”

It’s like they make it seem like sensitive skin needs luxury products, but often, the more basic, affordable stuff works just as well.

Exactly! And the packaging? They’re turning a basic moisturizer into some “elite” thing when it’s really just basic ingredients that everyone else uses.

And then there’s the constant “exclusive” angle. Like we’re supposed to feel lucky to pay for something that’s just not that different from the budget stuff.

Right? It’s almost like they’re preying on us feeling like sensitive skin needs this special care, when it’s really just common sense and simple ingredients that work.

Yeah! It’s all about finding balance, not buying into the hype. But they make it so hard to see that when they’re pushing this “premium” image.
