Shiny but not in a cute way

tried it bc ppl kept saying it’s a holy grail but idk didn’t really do much for me
texture’s fine not super thick goes on kinda jelly-like which i usually like but this one didn’t settle that well on my skin

﹒felt like it stayed on the surface instead of absorbing
﹒gave a bit of a glow but more like shiny not dewy
﹒had to blot more than usual mid-day
﹒not great under makeup pilled around nose and chin especially with matte foundation
﹒no stinging or irritation tho so that’s good i guess

for reference i have combo skin my t-zone’s oily but cheeks can get a bit dry
i use BOJ relief sun regularly and that one just blends better sits better and feels more breathable
this one made me feel like i was wearing something which i hate in summer

tried it for 10 days didn’t break me out but i got 2 closed comedones near my jawline which is rare for me
not saying it’s bc of this but it’s sus

packaging’s cute tho minimal no scent that i noticed which is a plus
but honestly it’s kinda forgettable i’ll finish the bottle bc i paid for it but i won’t repurchase

if your skin’s super dry and you don’t layer much under it maybe it’ll work better
but i’d rather use something that disappears into my skin not sits on top

final thought: not the worst not the best
a meh 6/10

Omg I thought I was the only one?? Everyone kept hyping this up and I felt like a glazed donut in the worst way. My nose was reflective. Didn’t break me out either but like… not breaking me out isn’t enough anymore 😭

RIGHT?? I felt like I could see my reflection in my own nose 😩 And no breakouts is great, but it’s not enough anymore when I’m glowing like a disco ball at 10AM.

Lmao SAME. Everyone said “dewy finish” but mine was reflective surface finish 💀 I kept blotting every 2 hours. I think it’s better for really dry skin or for winter maybe?

Peeked at the INCI and yeah, it's a lot of emollients with not enough actual humectants to help them absorb. So if your moisture barrier is already decent, it will probably just sit there like it did for you.

I have dry skin and I actually liked it! But don't use this with all the steps like toner, lotion, serum and everything... I thought that was too much

Not a bad product, just one that needs the right context and skin prep to shine

The worst you could get from sunscreen is the greasy oily finish.. And you get that from the 'hydrating' sunscreen? I'm out bruh

I have combo skin that gets oily in the T-zone but can feel super dehydrated in certain areas, so finding the right layering with this sunscreen took some trial and error 😮‍💨
What ended up working best for me was:

    Toner: Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner

Serum: Torriden Dive-In Serum (hydrates without weight)

Cream: Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream (it’s lightweight but still locks things in without being greasy)

    Sunscreen: Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum

This combo leaves my skin fresh and hydrated, and nothing pills—even when I reapply the sunscreen later in the day. It’s especially great on days when I skip makeup but still want my skin to look healthy.
Only thing I adjust is the cream amount. On really humid days, I go super light or skip it entirely. But overall? This routine’s been such a smooth operator 🧴🌿✨

This gives me another hope 🥲🥲 What if I just use it in an appropriate way???

Been using this sunscreen for two weeks now and I get the hype though!! No white cast, no scent, no greasiness. It just melts into my skin and makes it look naturally dewy. For my combo skin, it’s chef’s kiss 👩🏻‍🍳💕
