So I picked up the Torriden Dive-In Serum after seeing it mentioned like ten times on Reddit and thought, “Why not?” I have combo skin that leans dry in the winter, and I’m always looking for something to give me that hydration boost without being sticky or heavy.
The texture is super watery, almost like a thicker toner rather than a serum. It spreads easily, but because of how runny it is, you kind of have to work fast or it just drips down your face. I used about a drop on each cheek and one on my forehead, which seemed to be the right amount. It absorbs quickly and doesn’t leave any stickiness, which I appreciated.
As for the hydration, it’s… fine? Like, it does the job of making your skin feel a bit more plump and hydrated right after applying it, but it doesn’t have any lasting power. I felt like I needed to layer a moisturizer on top right away or it just disappeared into my skin without much of a trace. If you have dry skin, this probably won’t be enough on its own.
I do like that it’s unscented and didn’t irritate my skin at all. I didn’t break out or get any redness, which is a plus. It’s definitely gentle enough for sensitive skin, and the ingredient list looks clean. But at the same time, there’s nothing super exciting about it. It’s just a straightforward hydrating serum.
Overall, it’s okay. I’ll use it up, but I don’t really feel strongly one way or the other. It didn’t wow me, but it didn’t offend me either. If you want a light hydrating step in your routine and don’t need anything fancy, it’s worth trying once.
