Celimax Heart Pink Tone Up Sun Cream – My Honest Thoughts

I never thought writing a full-length review would be this hard, but here I am, struggling to put my thoughts into words. It’s not that I don’t have an opinion—trust me, I do. It’s just that I want to do this product justice and really get my point across. So, here goes.

First things first: price. This sunscreen retails for $21.00, but I managed to snag it for $14.70 during a 30% discount. Not bad, right? At that price, I was hoping for something special, and in some ways, it delivered. But in other ways… well, let’s just say I have mixed feelings.

The Formula & Finish

This is a tone-up sunscreen, which means it leaves a brightening effect on the skin. Some people love this, some hate it—it really depends on your skin tone and preferences. The finish is glowy but not greasy, giving that subtle “glass skin” effect.

Now, here’s the issue: the white cast. On lighter skin tones, it might blend in nicely and give a healthy, brightened look. But on my warmer, medium-toned skin, it looked… off. It didn’t just brighten—it made me look washed out, almost unnatural. And no amount of blending seemed to fully fix it. I kept hoping it would settle over time, but nope—it just sat there, making me look like I had picked the wrong shade of foundation.

I tested it on my hand just to make sure it wasn’t my imagination. One side had the sunscreen, the other didn’t. The difference was obvious. If your skin leans fair, this could be a beautiful, luminous sunscreen. But if you’re tan, olive, or deeper? I’d recommend proceeding with caution.

SPF Protection & Feel on the Skin

As a sunscreen, it does the job. It has broad-spectrum protection, and I didn’t experience any irritation, which is great. The formula is lightweight, doesn’t feel suffocating, and it sits well under makeup. I just wish the tone-up effect was more universal because, aside from that, the texture and finish are lovely.

Final Thoughts

If you have fair skin and love a brightening, dewy look, this could be a great addition to your routine. But if you have medium to deep skin tones, you might find yourself fighting with the white cast.

I really wanted to love this sunscreen. I truly did. And maybe on someone else, it’s perfect. But for me, it just wasn’t a match. That said, if you’re reading this, I hope you find a sunscreen that makes you feel amazing. Because at the end of the day, sun protection is non-negotiable—you just have to find the right one for you.
