If you’ve tried even one rom&nd Juicy Lasting Tint, you already know — it’s not just a lip tint. It’s a full-on obsession. I’ve been a rom&nd fan since the early days of Figfig and Jujube, and I still get excited with every new color drop.
This time around, I wanted to compare 02 Nucadamia and 14 Almond Rose — two shades I hadn’t tried before, both super wearable but totally different in vibe.
Nucadamia is that milky nude-brown that still manages to flatter my natural lip color without washing me out. It feels like a “your lips but glossier” kind of shade, but with a soft muted vibe that makes it look expensive. I wear this with barely-there makeup and slicked-back hair and feel 100% put together.
Almond Rose, on the other hand, is that muted rosy brick that somehow looks romantic and casual. I didn’t expect to love it this much, but it goes with everything — cream blush, brown liner, cozy sweaters, denim jackets. It’s one of those “safe but beautiful” colors that you reach for without thinking.
Now let’s talk about the formula, because this is why I keep repurchasing these tints.
It’s smooth, shiny, hydrating, and doesn’t slip all over your face. It applies like a gloss, sets like a balm, and leaves behind that signature glass glow that makes your lips look fuller. And it’s actually comfortable — not sticky, not drying. Just right.
But… we have to address the elephant in the room: the staining. It’s a thing.
Both colors leave a tint (as expected), but the stain isn’t always true to the original color. Nucadamia fades to a warmer pink, and Almond Rose leaves a reddish tone that doesn’t quite match the soft rose you started with.
That said — I don’t care. I really don’t.
The texture, finish, and color payoff are so good that I’ll keep using them anyway. I just reapply when I need to, and I’ve made peace with the fact that this is a “carry with you” kind of tint, not a “one swipe and forget it” product.
Bottom line: Even with the staining flaw, this is one of the best lip tint formulas out there, especially in the K-beauty world. The colors are nuanced, the texture is dreamy, and it just makes you want to reapply.
