I’ll be honest. I avoided this serum for so long just because everyone loved it.
You know the type: when something gets too hyped, I’m instantly suspicious. Like, how good can it really be?
Well. Annoyingly, it’s actually really good.
The Mise-en-scene Perfect Serum Original has been around forever for a reason. It smells kind of like someone spritzed a light floral perfume while your hair was getting professionally blow-dried. It’s addicting. The texture? Not sticky, not oily — just the right level of slippy without feeling heavy.
It doesn’t do magic if your hair’s completely fried, but on my medium-dry, naturally straight hair that loves to look dead at the ends, this brings back some shine and softness without turning it into a grease trap.
A little bit goes a long way — I use half a pump on damp hair after towel drying, mostly on the ends. When I get lazy and use nothing else, this still makes me look like I tried.
Do I think it’ll change your life? No.
But do I think your hair will feel smoother, look better, and smell amazing for under $10?
Yes, yes, and yes.
So yeah. We meet again. And I’m staying.
(For now.)
