When I first heard about the VT Reedle Shot 100, I hesitated. “Micro-needles” in a serum? That sounded like it would hurt — or at least leave me red and raw.
But after trying it for the first time, I was honestly surprised — it wasn’t painful at all. There’s a definite sensation — a light prickly feeling when you apply, especially if you use it right after cleansing. But it fades fast, and it never made my skin sting or freak out.
The texture is like a lightweight gel-serum. It spreads easily, doesn’t feel sticky, and absorbs quickly. I’ve been using it 2–3 nights a week, mostly on areas where I have uneven skin texture and clogged pores (cheeks and chin), and I’ve noticed my skin feels smoother and more refined by the next day.
I still follow with a moisturizer — usually something barrier-friendly like Illiyoon or Aestura. This isn’t a hydrating serum, so you’ll want to pair it with something comforting.
One thing I appreciate is that it doesn’t make my skin purge or react, even though it’s technically exfoliating. It’s more of a gentle boost — you feel it working without seeing redness or flaking.
After two weeks, I wouldn’t say my pores have disappeared or anything dramatic, but I definitely feel like my skin is smoother and my base makeup goes on with fewer bumps.
I also like that it fits into a minimal routine — it works on its own without needing layers of actives.
Would I recommend it? If you’re texture-conscious but sensitive to harsh acids — this is a great option.
It gives you that “next day glow” without the downtime.
