Disgust’s Skincare Diary [goodal Heartleaf Calming Moisture Sun Cream]

“Moisturizing? Yes. Calming? Kinda. But why are you attacking my eyes like this?”

This one had me HOOKED at “heartleaf” and “moisture.” I mean, a hydrating SPF that soothes my sensitive skin and doesn’t leave me looking like a glazed donut? Inject it.

And yes — texture? Beautiful. Like a creamy cloud that melts into your skin. Finish? Glowy but not greasy. My cheeks loved it. My forehead was vibing. Life was good.

BUT THEN.

I walked out on a sunny day. And 10 minutes later? My eyes were BURNING. Like I’d rubbed chili oil all over my eyelids. I wasn’t even sweating. This cream just migrated like it had somewhere else to be.

Is it a dealbreaker? Not entirely. I still reach for it when I know I’ll be indoors or wearing sunglasses. But I have to prep emotionally — because my eyes don’t forgive easily.

Great for calm skin. Terrible for emotional stability. 7/10.

I’ve been wondering about the Etude Soon Jung Barrier Cream—thanks for the honest breakdown.

I like that you mentioned layering textures. People underestimate how much that changes a routine.

Solid picks but kinda boring? Where’s the fun stuff with fermented ingredients and fancy peptides 😅

This contains ethylhexyl palmitate, a known eye irritant for some people! That explains the burning. Heartleaf extract is great for calming, but they really should've left out that sneaky ester. Shame, because the texture sounds dreamy otherwise.

Sorry but i disagree with you on keeping this in rotation. If an SPF fails its primary function, protection without side effects, it's a 0/10 for me. Burning eyes means compromised application is ineffective sun protection. Dangerous advice to keep using it!

Tryna apply an eye cream first to create a barrier, then avoid the orbital bone area completely with this one! Also works great as a neck/hand SPF where migration isn't an issue. Don't let good product go to waste!

I liked how great it is for dry winter skin and under makeup. But it's absolutely not for summer and the cap leaks all the time in my bags:((((
