Let Me Speak about CeraVe Moisturizing Cream

Are you tired of itchy, flaky skin that just won’t quit? As someone who struggles with dryness myself, I’ve been on the hunt for a moisturizer that truly delivers. Today, we’re taking a closer look at the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, a drugstore favorite that promises 24-hour hydration with a gentle, skin-loving formula. But does it live up to the hype? Let’s find out.

I’d been eyeing this cream for a while. With its popularity among dry skin sufferers and a budget-friendly price tag, it almost seemed too good to be true. So, I finally picked up the massive 19-ounce tub to put it to the test.

Pros

+ Hydration Hero

This cream is loaded with hyaluronic acid, which draws moisture into the skin, and ceramides, which help lock that moisture in. After just a week of consistent use, my skin felt noticeably more hydrated and less itchy.

‍+ Dermatologist-Approved

Fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, this moisturizer is gentle enough even for sensitive skin. It’s also dermatologist-recommended and accepted by the National Eczema Association, always a reassuring sign.

+ Great Value

At around $18 for a huge 19-ounce tub, you’re definitely getting your money’s worth. A little goes a long way, so one tub should last for months.

+ Versatile Use

This cream can be used on both the face and body, making it a convenient all-in-one option. It also doubles as an excellent hand cream for dry hands.

Cons

- Thick Texture

The cream has a dense, thick consistency that might feel a bit heavy at first. That said, it absorbs well and doesn’t leave behind a greasy residue.

- Bulky Packaging

While the large tub is great for value, it’s not the most travel-friendly option. Luckily, smaller sizes are available if portability is a concern.

Shortly, I’m genuinely impressed with the CeraVe Moisturizing Cream. It’s an effective, fragrance-free moisturizer for dry skin at a fantastic price point. While the thick texture may take some getting used to, the long-lasting hydration and gentle formula make it a solid choice for anyone battling dryness.

Best For You If...

- You have very dry or sensitive skin and need a fragrance-free formula.

- You want a moisturizer that works for both your face and body.

- You’re looking for a budget-friendly, long-lasting product.

Maybe Skip If...

- You prefer lightweight, lotion-like moisturizers.

- You dislike fragrance-free skincare.

- You need a compact, travel-size container.

Picked this up at Costco, 2-pack for under $30, which is crazy good considering how long it lasts. I use one for the family bathroom and one stays on my nightstand.
My toddler has eczema and this is literally the only thing that doesn’t sting. It’s boring but it works.

I want to love this but the texture just doesn’t vibe with me 🫠 It sits heavy and I always feel like I need a humidifier to make it sink in.

That said, I use it on my legs and arms post-shower and it’s a total win there. For my face, I’m sticking with La Roche-Posay Toleriane Sensitive Fluid — lighter and layers way better.

Haha get that. If you have combo or oily skin, you'd feel it heavier than i felt on it.

Funny how I used to avoid Western drugstore moisturizers like the plague until this one. I bought it while visiting NYC (got it for $17 at a Walgreens, lol) and my skin calmed down so fast. Usually I’m a die-hard Belif/Avene/Dr.G user but this is now my emergency backup cream.

Totally get that. Love asian skincare but Cerave is one of the western brands that asian skincare cannot surpass in terms of how well they get along with western skin
