Texture & Finish

• A gel-cream texture that glides on smoothly with a cooling feel on contact. It spreads effortlessly without a heavy, silicone-like slip or chalky residue. While initially dewy, the shine settles into a natural finish once absorbed, comfortable even on oily skin during summer.

• Sticky? No

• Greasy? No

• Pills under makeup? No

• Stings sensitised skin? Yes

Seasonal Suitability

• Oily skin : All-year-round

• Dry skin : Best for summer (will need a moisturiser underneath)

Fragrance

Yes, it contains fragrance. The scent is grassy or herbal; not overpowering but noticeable upon application. It fades quickly once absorbed.

Performance Under Makeup

Layers well without balling up and doesn’t interfere with foundation or base products.

My Usage

• Duration of use : 3 months

• Will I finish it? Yes

• Estimated time to finish : Another 2 months

My Results

• Initial feeling : cool, refreshing

• Finish : lightly moisturising but not greasy; dewy at first, then settles

• Not drying or tight-feeling on my skin

• I wouldn’t call this a substitute for a rich moisturiser, but for oily-combination skin, it offers enough hydration to skip an additional cream in summer

What I Like

• Cruelty-free

• Lightweight, breathable texture

• Doesn’t sting the eyes

• No white cast

• Travel-friendly and hygienic packaging

• Doesn’t clog or aggravate my skin

• Free from denatured alcohol

What I Don’t Like

• Contains fragrance

• Not rich enough for dry skin types

• Very oily skin may still find it a little dewy in humid climates

Overall Rating : 4.1/5

A gentle, cosmetically elegant sunscreen that wears beautifully through the day, even under makeup. I love that it offers hydration without heaviness, doesn’t sting my eyes, and leaves no cast behind. While the fragrance is not to my taste, the formula is otherwise so pleasant that I’m happy to overlook it.

• Would I repurchase? Yes.

• Dupe? The Numbuzin No.1 Calming Watery Sun Essence is a great alternative. It’s just as lightweight, alcohol-free, and also free from fragrance and essential oils, ideal for sensitive skin.
