i didn’t ask for a face mist addiction, but here we are.

i bought the cnp propolis ampule mist because someone on reddit called it “hydration crack” and i was vulnerable (read: my skin barrier was crying and my credit card was already out). i thought it would be another overpriced scented water that does nothing except make you feel like you're in a k-drama. spoiler: it’s better than that. annoyingly better.

⠀

let’s get this out of the way: yes, it has fragrance. and no, i’m not happy about it. but it’s not chokingly sweet or aggressively fake. more like… a faint memory of a honey mask you once loved. i didn’t react, and my skin’s the type that once broke out from micellar water, so that’s saying something.

⠀

now the formula? legit. propolis is the second ingredient, which already makes it better than 90% of mists out there. you also get niacinamide, panthenol, madecassoside — like, real ingredients, not filler fluff. it actually calms down my angry red zones and gives me that borderline-oily glow without tipping into greasy territory.

⠀

what i didn’t expect was how fine the mist is. it’s not “spray bottle from CVS” levels of chaos. it’s that soft, bougie, spa-cloud mist that makes you go “wait, did it even come out?” until your skin looks better five seconds later. perfect for when i’ve got powder-cake face at 3PM and need to look human again.

⠀

do i think it replaces a serum? no. do i think it’s the best desk-side mist i’ve used? absolutely. it’s like giving your skin a snack without ruining its dinner. also surprisingly helpful post-retinol nights when everything feels tight and one more cream would push it over the edge.

⠀

but let’s be real: this is a luxury disguised as a daily essential. at ~$22 a bottle, it’s not “cheap” for a mist. and i’ve gone through it... fast. too fast. the bottle looks like it’ll last a while but if you’re a compulsive mister (me), you’ll be reordering before the month is over.

⠀

verdict?
cnp, you win. i hate how much i like this.
great formula, elegant delivery, kind to cranky skin.
if it were fragrance-free and cheaper, it’d be holy grail status.

⠀

rating: 7.8/10
would repurchase? yes, and resentfully so.

Okay but why is CNP quietly killing the mist game?? I used to side-eye this brand but the Propolis line has been consistently amazing

Would you say this is better than the La Roche-Posay Serozinc or AHC Premium Hydra B5 Mist? I’ve been trying to find something with actual calming effects that doesn’t smell like a perfume counter

WAY better than Serozinc imo. This has actual ingredients and doesn’t just ‘wet’ your face for a second.

I feel like this sits in that perfect zone between a toner and a serum. I use it post-cleanse, pre-everything.

Yesss exactly! Not essential but somehow deeply needed
