What's in My Shelf, Day 1

What's up grils! I wanted to share a roundup of all the skincare I’ve been using the past couple of months. I picked these up at the end of March so it’s been just over two months of consistent testing. Since I love writing quick reviews, I'm gonna show one item every day.

About Me

Skin type : Combo leaning dry

Skin concerns : Sensitivity, acne-prone, fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and large pores

Climate : Mildly humid spring weather, nothing too extreme

Quick note : All of these products are fragrance and essential oil free. If I mention a scent, I’m referring to the natural scent that sometimes comes with unscented formulas.

So, Today I'm gonna talk about Isntree Green Tea Fresh Cleanser.

Rating : 5/5, Will Repurchase, Holy Grail!

I love this cleanser and I’m so happy I gave it a try! My usual go-tos were the Round Lab Dokdo Cleanser and the By Wishtrend Green Tea & Enzyme Powder Wash, but both of those were starting to leave my skin feeling a bit tight and dry, especially with daily use.

This Isntree one, though? Total game changer. It has a lovely gel texture with little tea flakes and don’t worry, you won’t feel them on your skin, and it foams just enough, not too bubbly, not too creamy, but a perfect in-between. The natural scent is fresh and clean, and my skin always feels soft, balanced, and moisturized after using it.

I use it both morning and night, and it even works great as the second step in a double cleanse. I noticed a huge difference when I briefly went back to the Dokdo cleanser, it suddenly smelled kind of plasticky and left my skin feeling tight and itchy. That pulling, squeaky feeling you get from bar soap? Yeah, not cute.

If you’ve got sensitive combo or dry skin and want something gentle yet effective, this cleanser is a total win. Highly, highly recommend!

Wait SAME with the Dokdo Cleanser?? I thought I was going crazy but it started feeling so drying all of a sudden. I’m combo too and have been struggling to find a non-stripping cleanser. Definitely picking this up next 🧼💚

Be real… is it actually moisturizing or just ‘not drying’? I hate when reviews say something is hydrating and my face ends up tight 10 mins later 😭

Hmm it is moisturizing! But yk this is a cleanser so I wouldn't lean on cleanser to keep my skin hydrated tho

@Influencer I'd recommend this but if you have really dry skin, apply the next skincare right after cleansing!!

I’ve been eyeing this one for a while 👀! How’s the pH? I saw somewhere that it’s ~5.5 but can’t find consistent info.

Also curious if you ever experienced any purging with it early on?

Natural scent that doesn’t linger? 👏 Bless. If I smell another ‘unscented’ cleanser that reeks of plastic and sadness I’m gonna lose it.
