✨ Morning Routine MVP: Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Sunscreen ✨

Okay, let’s talk about the sunscreen that quietly slid into my lineup and then refused to leave. When I say it’s become a staple in my morning routine, I mean it’s been on rotation EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. for the past 6 weeks—and I’m not a loyalist when it comes to sunscreens.

Here’s how it fits into my morning routine (aka “Operation: Wake Up & Look Alive”):

☀️ 7:30 AM Skincare Lineup

1. Cleanser: I use a gentle low-pH gel cleanser (Currently: Torriden Balanceful Gel Cleanser)

2. Toner: Isntree Hyaluronic Acid Toner — a hydration bomb 💦

3. Serum: Mixsoon Bean Essence (yes, the texture is weird, yes, it works magic)

4. Moisturizer: Aestura Atobarrier 365 Cream — buttery but not heavy

5. Sunscreen: Enter: Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing SPF

Texture & Application

This stuff spreads like a dream. No tugging, no weird filmy feeling. The milky texture feels like a hybrid between a light lotion and essence, and it melts into your skin. I apply two fingers’ worth, and even that much doesn’t feel heavy.

Finish

Soft, glowy, bouncy. Not greasy. Not tacky. Just hydrated.

People have literally said “your skin looks really healthy today” when I’m wearing only this and some lip balm. It’s that good.

Makeup Compatibility

It layers beautifully under makeup. I’ve tested it with cushion foundations, cream blush, even powder highlighter — no pilling, no creasing, no patchiness. It actually makes my base go on smoother, almost like a light primer.⸻

Why It’s My Favorite (right now)

🌲 Soothing – The birch juice extract is calming AF. My skin tends to get red and sensitized, especially during allergy season, and this helps tone that down noticeably.

💧 Hydrating Without Overdoing It – I have combo skin that leans dry around my cheeks but oily in the T-zone. This SPF somehow manages to balance both.

💨 Breathable – I don’t feel like I’m suffocating under it, even in hot or humid weather.

Tiny Drawbacks?

If you’re super oily, you might want to use a setting powder around the nose/forehead by midday. It’s not greasy, but it’s got that healthy dew finish that could build up shine over time.

Final Verdict?

This is one of those products that makes your whole routine feel more intentional. It protects, soothes, hydrates, and plays well with others. I’ve tried dozens of SPFs, and this is the first one that genuinely feels like skincare—not just sunscreen.

If you want a no-fuss, glow-giving, “my skin but better” kind of SPF… this is the one.

10/10 would repurchase (already did).

How does this compare to the Beauty of Joseon sunscreen? They seem similar, both milky, dewy, and SPF50+.
Also, does it leave any white cast on deeper skin tones?

Not sure about how it works on deeper skin tones but compared to the BoJ, it's much more lightweighted & hydrating but not in a greasy way! I didn't love the BoJ sunscreen cuz it gave me greasy finish not just dewy finish, but this worked perfect!!

Any recs for the same girlie? 😥😥 I got into Korean sunscreen because they are way less oily than the sunscreen we have but some of them still gives me that annoyingly oily finish 😣

THIS!!!! My go-to daily wear! My quick review here,

    Loved this bc
    1. Gives that perfect ‘glass skin’ glow without grease

    2. Layers beautifully under makeup (no pilling!)

    3. Calms redness thanks to birch juice

    4. Lightweight but still hydrating

But a few things that was meh,

    1. Dewy finish might be too much for super oily skin

    2. Not water-resistant

YES I honestly am not sure if it does anything with my redness but it's lightweight & cooling! And I second that it works amazing uner makeup. When it's super hot outside, I minimize my skincare routine and use this sunscreen! Perfect hydration + prep for the makeup!

Overhyped. I tried this and it made my combo skin so shiny by noon. Also, the fragrance-free claim is questionable. Mine had a weird herbal smell? Stick to European sunscreens if you want real protection without the K-beauty fluff.
