I have combination skin, and I picked up the AESTURA Atobarrier 365 Cream after hearing amazing things about how it helps with barrier repair and hydration. And I still believe that — but the timing of my purchase? Definitely off.
It’s summer and already humid& hot where I live, and this cream feels a bit too rich for me right now. The texture is thick and substantial — very creamy, very comforting — but that also means my T-zone starts sweating under it in minutes. I’ve tried using less, I’ve tried applying it only at night — still too heavy for my forehead and nose.
Where it does work is on dry patches — especially my cheeks and jawline, which tend to feel tight on windy days or after exfoliating. I use a tiny amount there, and it’s great. No irritation, no weird scent, and it genuinely helps lock in hydration overnight.
So I wouldn’t say this is a bad product — just a seasonal one. For autumn or winter, I think this would be perfect. I’ll probably reach for it again in a few months when my combo skin starts leaning dry again. But for summer? It’s going back in the skincare drawer.
TL;DR: dry skin folks, this might be your holy grail. For the rest of us — wait until the leaves start falling 🍂
- This always saves me from fungal acne and flare-ups.
- My dry skin can't bear winter without this.
- I even apply this on my body during winter.
