🍑Review: Anua Niacinamide TXA Serum (for combination & sensitive skin types)

I bought this serum because the ingredient combo of niacinamide and TXA sounded really promising. Since my skin usually reacts well to niacinamide and I’m always on the lookout for brightening products, I had high hopes. My skin type is combination, and it becomes sensitive when irritated.

For the first few days, it seemed okay, but then my skin started breaking out and feeling irritated... So unfortunately, it didn’t work out for me. 😥

🫧 Texture: Lightweight and watery, but not runny. It stays on the skin just long enough to spread comfortably.

💦 Absorption: Absorbs reasonably well, not super fast, but doesn't sit on the skin. Works fine under layers.

🧴 Spreadability: Glides on smoothly without any pulling or patchiness. Application was easy.

👃 Scent: Fragrance-free! Ideal for sensitive skin users who avoid added scents.

🌡️ Irritation: After three days of use, I started experiencing stinging, redness, and tiny breakouts.

🤍 Brightening effect: Sadly, even after finishing almost the whole bottle, I didn’t notice any visible difference in skin tone.

💧 Moisture level: It doesn’t provide enough hydration on its own, definitely needs a cream on top.

🔬 Formula: Niacinamide + TXA sounded perfect, but the actual result was underwhelming.

😣 Skin reaction: I noticed both small pimples and painful red spots, especially on my cheeks.

🙅 Repurchase?: Nope. I won’t be buying this again. It left a stronger impression in irritation than results.

🧖‍♀️ Best for...?: Probably better suited for oily or less sensitive skin types. Definitely not for reactive skin.

🧪 Pro tip: Try a sample first! It’s not worth buying the full size without patch-testing.
