Not bad, not great (Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam

I bought the Madagascar Centella Ampoule Foam because I thought the word “ampoule” meant it would be extra nourishing or hydrating. And as someone with dry, tight-prone skin, that sounded like a dream.

Texture-wise, it’s nice. The foam is soft and cushiony, and it doesn’t feel harsh going on. A tiny bit lathers up really well, and it does leave your face feeling clean. But… that’s kind of it for me.

After rinsing, my skin doesn’t feel stripped, but I also wouldn’t call the finish hydrating. It’s not as drying as some of the harsher foams I’ve used before, but it’s definitely not that “moisturizing cleanse” I was hoping for. I still have to follow up quickly with toner or essence to avoid tightness.

The Centella is probably helping with mild redness because my skin’s been calm lately, but the hydration side? Meh. I wouldn’t say it’s bad, but it’s just not the rich, nourishing kind of foam I was expecting from something labeled “ampoule.”

If you have normal to slightly dry skin, this might be great. For really dry types like me, it’s okay as a summer cleanser, but I wouldn’t reach for it in colder months.

Not a regret, but also not a game-changer.
