I’ll admit it, I bought the VT Reedle Shot 100 Essence partly because it looks so satisfying in those TikToks. You know the ones — dots of serum perfectly placed like a futuristic skincare grid, then blended into the skin like you’re casting a spell? Yeah. That.
But aesthetics aside, this actually became one of my favorite skin-reviving serums.
Let’s talk feel: It’s not your typical serum. When you first apply it (especially on bare skin), you feel a tiny tingle — not painful, just this subtle prickly sensation that lets you know it’s doing something. It’s from the “Reedle” technology — micro-needle-like particles that gently stimulate skin turnover.
The next morning? Smooth. Glowy. Refined. Not in a dramatic way, but like your skin just leveled up a notch.
I use it like this:
• PM only, 2–3x a week
• After cleansing and toner, I apply in sections across my face (cheeks, forehead, chin, nose), just like in the viral videos
• I gently pat it in — no harsh rubbing
• Follow with a barrier-repairing cream (I use either Dr.Jart Ceramidin or Aestura 365)
That’s it. No layering acids or actives after — this essence does enough solo. I wake up with smoother texture, smaller-looking pores, and my base makeup applies so much better the next day.
For reference, I have combo skin with texture issues around my cheeks and nose, and this is one of the only products that gives a near-immediate refined finish without irritation or redness.
And let’s be real — it’s fun to use. There’s something satisfying about the ritual of it, and the packaging + feel makes the whole experience feel elevated.
If you’re looking for a visual, effective, slightly futuristic skincare step that actually delivers that “post-facial” vibe? This is worth the hype.
