Meh, It’s Okay I Guess?

So I tried the SKINFOOD Carrot Carotene Calming Water Pad because I kept seeing it everywhere. Honestly, not sure what all the fuss is about. The pads are pretty big and soaked with product, which is kinda nice I guess.ㅤ

They smell kind of earthy, like carrots or something. Not super strong, but definitely noticeable. If you’re sensitive to smells, just a heads up. The texture feels wet and cooling on the skin at first, which is nice after washing your face. But after a few minutes, it kinda just sits there and feels a little sticky.ㅤ

I didn’t really notice any big changes with my skin. Maybe a tiny bit calmer? My redness wasn’t worse or better. Hydration? Meh, it’s okay but nothing spectacular. I have combo skin, so it didn’t break me out or anything, which is good.ㅤ

Ingredients-wise, I like that it has carrot extract and some soothing stuff like allantoin and glycerin. Seems gentle enough. Not sure if it’s actually doing much though. Definitely not a game changer for me.ㅤ

Price is alright, not too bad but I’m not sure I’d buy it again. I’ll probably finish the jar because I don’t wanna waste it, but I’m not rushing to get another. If you want something gentle and easy, it’s fine, but don’t expect miracles.ㅤ

So yeah, if you’re curious and don’t mind a pad that’s mostly hydration with some soothing vibes, go for it. But if you want something that really changes your skin, this might not be it. Just my two cents.
