🌊 RoundLab Dokdo Line Review : Part 2

👈 Start with Part 1! I reviewed the Dokdo Cleansing Oil & Cleanser in detail, check it out :

https://olive-talk.com/talk/r/HpTMVFj/-roundlab-dokdo-line-review-part-1

Skin Type :

* Combination (gets oily easily depending on the product)

Environment :

* Hot & humid - sticky, heavy products don’t perform well for me

💦 DOKDO TONER

Experience :
I totally get why this toner is award-winning in Korea. It has a water-light consistency, and although there's a brief sticky moment, it fully absorbs without any lingering tackiness. My skin feels refreshed, hydrated, and smooth, perfect for my skin type and climate.

Pros :

✔ Lightweight and watery, easy to apply

✔ Sticky for only a few seconds, then fully absorbed

✔ No oily or greasy residue

 ✔ Feels soothing and gentle

✔ Claims to gently exfoliate while hydrating

Cons :

✘ Slight temporary stickiness (gone within a minute)

✅ Verdict : Love it. One of the best toners I’ve tried!

💧 DOKDO AMPOULE

Experience :
This one didn’t work out for me. The texture is lightweight and applies smoothly, but it stays sticky and made my face oily really fast. I also woke up with small breakouts the next morning after using it.

Pros :

✔ Watery consistency, spreads easily

✔ Layers well with other products in theory

Cons :

✘ Feels sticky long after applying

✘ Skin became oily within minutes

✘ Caused small breakouts overnight

✘ Not breathable, felt heavy and uncomfortable

❌ Verdict : Not for me. Wouldn’t repurchase.

🧴 DOKDO MOISTURIZER

Experience :
This was even worse than the ampoule for me. While it seems lightweight at first, it quickly becomes sticky and uncomfortably greasy. Not suitable for hot, humid weather or combo/oily skin. It also clashed horribly with my sunscreen.

Pros :

✔ Might work for dry skin or cooler climates

✔ Initially feels like it might be lightweight

Cons :

✘ Very sticky and tacky on the skin

✘ Skin gets oily within minutes and even worse overnight
✘ Terrible under sunscreen, makes skin feel suffocated

✘ Didn’t layer well, felt gross in hot weather

❌ Verdict : Big no. Will not use again.

The toner?? Obsessed. It’s like my skin drank a glass of cold water after a day in the sun. Perfect texture for humid weather, too.

Right?! And that second of stickiness? I blink and it’s gone. It’s like it knows we don’t have time for nonsense.

Same here! I’ve had zero pilling issues, and it doesn’t mess with the rest of my routine.
Feels like a basic in the best way, quietly effective.

@Influencer Award-winning for a reason tbh. My skin looks so much calmer and balanced. I’d rebuy it in a heartbeat.

@Influencer Honestly it’s my hot weather MVP. Hydration without the grease. Can I bathe in it? Asking for science.

Y’all… I wanted to love the ampoule. But why did it feel like my pores were suffocating?? Woke up looking like an oil slick and had breakouts. Absolutely not.

Oh my god SAME. I tried the moisturizer thinking it’d be a chill, light cream. Five minutes in, I looked like I glazed myself with cooking oil. And not in a Hailey Bieber way.

It just didn’t breathe. And under sunscreen?? A literal disaster. Sliding, pilling, the whole circus.

I’m convinced it’s built for dry winters in Seoul, not summer anywhere else. Combo skin crew, beware 😬

    Dokdo Toner = yes.
Ampoule + Moisturizer = respectfully, no thanks.

Exactly. Keeping the toner. Returning the rest to the skincare abyss.

Lowkey still recovering from that moisturizer experiment. Switched back to the Illiyoon Ato Lotion and my skin said “thank you for coming back.”

Yesss Illiyoon saves lives. I’m layering it over the Isntree Green Tea serum now and it’s chef’s kiss Hydrating without the grease.

Honestly, Korean skincare has so many great options as it’s wild how this one missed the mark. Wish I could return the ampoule for emotional damages 😤
