Week 9 Final Thoughts on Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Sun Stick

So, it’s been over two months since I started using this sun stick daily. I wanted to share my final thoughts after almost 9 weeks of consistent use. Honestly, it’s been a mixed experience but definitely informative.

The convenience factor still stands strong. I can’t stress enough how much I appreciate the stick format for quick, mess-free reapplication. Whether I’m at my desk, outside, or running errands, it’s super easy to swipe on without fuss. The packaging remains sturdy and travel-friendly, which is a plus for someone who’s always on the go.

In terms of skin feel, my skin still loves the lightweight, silky texture. It absorbs fast and leaves a matte finish, which is perfect for my combination skin. No oily residue or shine, so makeup sits well on top of it. The absence of a white cast continues to impress me. It’s rare to find sunscreens that don’t leave that annoying ghostly look, so this one scores big there.

However, the breakout situation I noticed around week two didn’t completely resolve. I still get occasional small pimples, mostly around my jaw and chin, areas that are prone to hormonal and product-related breakouts for me. I’m convinced the silicones and some chemical filters in this formula might be slightly clogging my pores over time. Nothing drastic, but definitely enough to keep me cautious.

On the bright side, my skin barrier feels more balanced than before I started using it. The centella and hyaluronic acid do a good job at soothing and hydrating, so even when I had breakouts, my skin didn’t feel overly irritated or inflamed. That’s a big deal for me since I usually react badly to sunscreens.

Sun protection has been reliable. I’ve spent quite a bit of time outdoors without any sunburn or redness. The SPF 50+ seems legit. I also appreciate that it’s fragrance-free, so no irritation from scent additives.

If I had to sum it up, I’d say this sun stick is excellent for those who want a no-fuss, lightweight, and hydrating sunscreen with decent protection. But if your skin is super prone to clogging or breakouts, this might not be the best daily option for you. It’s a trade-off between convenience and skin tolerance.

For me, I’ll probably keep it for days when I’m not wearing heavy makeup or when I need quick reapplication. On days when I want to be extra careful, I’ll switch to a cleaner, less occlusive sunscreen.

Overall, the Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Silky-Fit Sun Stick is a solid product with some caveats depending on your skin type. Definitely worth trying if you’re curious but patch test first.
