I’ve been using the LANEIGE Cream Skin for a while now, and honestly? I’m still not sure how I feel about it. It’s not a bad product by any means — but it also doesn’t feel like something I need in my routine.
The texture is nice. Lightweight, milky, and definitely more hydrating than your typical watery toner. It does make my skin feel soft and slightly plumper after use. But… that’s kind of it.
For the price, I expected something more transformative. Instead, it’s more like a mild layer of moisture — nothing dramatic, nothing game-changing.
I could probably get a similar effect by layering a more affordable toner a couple of times.
Also, I didn’t really notice any long-term benefits. It doesn’t brighten, it doesn’t improve skin texture, and while it’s comforting in the moment, the effect kind of fades. It’s definitely better than some basic toners, but I wouldn’t call it “luxury hydration” either.
It made me realize that maybe with toners, what I value most is value itself — something I can soak into cotton pads, use freely, and not feel guilty about. This one feels a bit too “in-between” for me: not rich enough to replace a cream, not affordable enough to use like water.
Will I finish the bottle? Sure. Will I repurchase? Probably not.
