Your Favorite Underrated Moisturizer for Complicated Skin?

I’m at my wit’s end. My holy grail moisturizer is difficult to get a hold of as it’s constantly going in and out of stock and doesn’t seem to get much attention.

My skin type is complicated, oily yet dehydrated, very sensitive, easily triggered by fungal acne ingredients, especially if they’re high on the list, prone to redness, breakouts, and clogs in general.

After years of searching, I finally found one moisturizer that worked perfectly for me and let me introduce Cell Fusion C Calming Down Cream.

Key Features

- Texture-wise, beautiful lightweight cream with a green tint that helps cancel redness and gives a soft, blurred finish.

- Moisture-wise, Locks in hydration without feeling greasy or causing breakouts.

- Formula-wise, Heavier esters, triglycerides, and fatty alcohols are far down the list, which works for me as my skin tends to react poorly when those are too high up.

- Base-wise. Uses lightweight emollients like Methylpropanediol, Methyl Trimethicone, and 1,2-Hexanediol instead of heavier silicones like Dimethicone, which my skin can’t handle in high concentrations.

- Ingredient-wise, Contains Centella components, chamomile, guaiazulene, madecassoside, and more, all incredibly calming for irritated skin.

Here’s the full ingredient list for those who love to dig deep

Water, Glycerin, Methylpropanediol, Methyl Trimethicone, 1,2-Hexanediol, Isodecyl Neopentanoate, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Ammonium Acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer, Trehalose, Algae Extract...

My problem tho?

It’s nearly impossible to find consistently. And when something works that well for your skin, it’s so frustrating when it becomes hard to access or worse, discontinued.

So I’m putting the call out, does anyone know of a moisturizer that has a similar feel, ingredient structure, or performance? Lightweight, hydrating, non-comedogenic, sensitive-skin friendly, and bonus points if it helps with redness.

Products that haven’t worked for me

- Dr. G Red Blemish Cream, too heavy on the silicones

- Iunik Centella Gel Cream

- Isntree Aloe Soothing Gel

- Beplain Cicaful Calming Gel

I’ve realized gel creams generally don’t work for me since they tend to feel itchy and not calming enough.

Would love any underrated recs, especially from folks with similarly finicky skin.

I’ve had similar trouble with Cell Fusion C stock. Sometimes StyleKorean or Olive Young restock it randomly. I actually set alerts for it now lol

Noticed your skin doesn’t do well with silicones — have you tried avoiding PEGs too? Some PEG-based emollients give me delayed breakouts even though they’re technically lightweight

Have you tried Atopalm Real Barrier Cream? It’s one of the few that calms my redness without breaking me out.
