🧡 everyone was hyping up these carrot calming pads so i caved and bought them... but omg i rlly wish i didn’t 😭
ㅤ
let’s start w the good i guess — the packaging is cute?? 😅 the pads are thick and don’t tear apart which is nice?? but that’s about where the pros end for me 😩
ㅤ
as soon as i used it, my skin felt sticky af 😖 like it never really sank in?? just sat there feeling damp and weird and gross. i even tried using fewer pads, patting it in, leaving it on for 5 mins like a mini mask… nope. still tacky. 😑
ㅤ
i also noticed after a week of using it, i was breaking out more than usual 😤 i don’t have super sensitive skin but this made my cheeks red and bumpy. and this thing is supposed to be calming?? lol okay 🙄
ㅤ
i checked the ingredients and while it’s fragrance-free (yay), it still has some oils that might clog pores if you’re acne-prone. especially that carrot seed oil... maybe works for dry skin but oily combo babes like me?? run 🏃♀️💨
ㅤ
also it didn’t do anything… like no glow, no calm, no hydration boost. just... wet cotton on my face. i really don’t get the hype 😵💫
ㅤ
and don’t even get me started on the price 💸 for something this mid?? absolutely not. i’d rather get 3-ply toilet paper and pat toner on my face myself 😭
ㅤ
✨final thoughts✨: cute idea, bad execution. maybe if you have super dry or reactive skin it might feel nice, but for me it was a waste of $$ and time.
👎 not repurchasing
👎 didn’t finish the tub
👎 now sitting in my skincare graveyard ☠️
