Okay, hear me out. I’ve been through at least five tubes of this UNOVE Deep Damage Treatment — and I’m literally squeezing out the last bit of product as I write this review. That’s how much I’ve used (and loved) this thing.

As someone who straightens or curls her hair almost every other day (yes, I know… I’m working on it), a solid treatment is not a luxury — it’s survival. I’ve tried everything from drugstore masks to fancy salon tubs, and honestly, this one hits the sweet spot between performance, ease of use, and price.

Let’s talk about the texture first.

It’s got this thick, buttery cream consistency, but it spreads easily. You don’t need to drown your hair in it either — a little goes a long way, especially on the ends. It doesn’t drip, doesn’t make your hands feel gross, and it rinses cleanly.

Now the smell… oh man, I could wear this as a perfume. It has this cozy, slightly sweet floral scent that’s strong when you first apply it, but it mellows out after rinsing. Every time I use it, my hair smells like a fancy hair salon all day. I’ve had people lean in during hugs and go, “Wait, what shampoo do you use??” It’s that noticeable.

Application-wise, I use it 2-3 times a week after shampooing, focusing on the mid-lengths to ends. I’ll leave it in for about 5 minutes while I shave or exfoliate, then rinse out thoroughly. Immediately after rinsing, my hair already feels smoother, silkier, and easier to detangle. 

Once it air dries or I go in with a blow dryer, the real magic happens — no frizz, no straw-like texture, just soft, bouncy ends that actually move.

This stuff has honestly made me less scared of heat styling. I still try to be careful, but knowing I have this to back me up gives me peace of mind.
