I bought the Dr.G Green Mild Up Sun+ purely because I kept seeing it everywhere — IG, blogs, YouTube, you name it. Everyone kept praising it as the go-to mineral sunscreen for sensitive skin, so of course, I had to try it.
Let me just say — yes, it’s very gentle. No stinging, no weird fragrance, and my skin didn’t react at all. That alone makes it worth trying if you’re like me and your face throws a tantrum every time it meets a chemical filter.
But what I wasn’t expecting? The white cast. It’s not ghostly, but it’s there. I have light-medium skin and it was definitely noticeable unless I really worked it in. It’s not the type of sunscreen you can just slap on in a rush and go — it needs a bit of blending.
That said, the finish is soft and matte, not greasy at all, and it doesn’t pill under makeup. I wouldn’t use this for flash photography, but as a daily, sensitive-skin-friendly sunscreen, I can see why it has a cult following.
