Let’s be real: there are a lot of toner pads on the market right now, and most of them are either too harsh, too dry, or too gimmicky. But the SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Quick Calming Pad genuinely lives up to its name — it’s quick, calming, and one of the few I’ve repurchased without hesitation.
Starting with the texture: these pads are super thin, but they don’t tear or dry out too quickly. They’re soaked in just the right amount of Centella-rich essence — not dripping wet, but definitely juicy enough to deliver a proper dose of hydration. The fabric has a smooth, silky feel, so there’s no irritation even when my skin is extra sensitive or post-exfoliation.
I love using them in two main ways:
1. As mini calming packs before makeup — I take two, place them on my cheeks while I do my brows or prep my bag, and after 5–10 minutes, the difference is obvious. My skin tone is more even, my cheeks feel cool and soothed, and foundation glides on better — no patchiness, no clingy texture.
2. After hot showers or workouts — when my skin is flushed or reactive, one pad across each cheek or the forehead instantly calms everything down. It’s one of the few products that gives me visible results in under 10 minutes.
The essence itself is light, watery, and absorbs without leaving a film. No tackiness, no heavy residue. I can layer my serums right on top without any pilling, and it even works as a standalone “toner step” on lazy days.
The Centella content really does its job — my redness and heat-related flare-ups are noticeably reduced, and I don’t feel that lingering irritation that usually hangs around.
Another small but important point: the packaging is super clean and hygienic. The inner seal keeps the pads fresh, and they stay saturated till the very last one.
Would I say it changed my skin forever? No.
But it’s one of the most reliable calming products I’ve found — especially for reactive, combo skin like mine. It’s the product I grab without thinking when I need something soothing, fast.
If your skin tends to freak out before makeup, after exfoliating, or when the weather shifts suddenly — this is the kind of pad you’ll want in your routine. It’s subtle, but solid. Not hyped — just good.
Here's my tea on it.
What I like
-Still calms hormonal redness
-Last pad as juicy as the first
What I don't like
-Not strong enough for cystic acne
-Wish they made a XL version
Would repurchase?
Yeah as that post-shower use is genius.
