Sensitive combo skin? beplain mung bean cleanser is the cleanser that won’t fight you.

As someone with sensitive, redness-prone combo skin, finding a daily cleanser that doesn’t leave me irritated, stripped, or broken out is a serious challenge.

So when I picked up the beplain Mung Bean pH-Balancing Cleansing Foam, I honestly didn’t expect much.

But three weeks later? I’ve been using it every day — and not once has my skin freaked out.

Let’s talk texture first. This comes out as a soft gel-cream that foams lightly, not into thick clouds but into a fine lather that feels super gentle. It’s not squeaky or harsh — and most importantly for my skin, it doesn’t give that “tight” post-wash feeling that usually screams barrier damage incoming.

I noticed that my redness actually looked calmer right after rinsing, which is rare for me. Most foaming cleansers tend to inflame my cheeks or leave behind dry patches, but this one just makes my skin feel clean, balanced, and soft — not raw.

Now here’s a tip for anyone with my kind of skin:

🧼 Use lukewarm water only (hot water makes redness worse) 🧼

🫧 Lather in your palms first, not on your face — reduces friction 💭

🧴 Follow with a barrier-repair toner or essence — this cleanser preps the skin perfectly for hydration steps🧴

What I love most about this cleanser is how non-disruptive it is. It doesn’t promise extreme exfoliation or miracle brightening — it just does the basics beautifully. And for reactive skin types? That’s more valuable than any fancy ingredient list.

Also, mung bean is an underrated ingredient. It’s naturally soothing, has mild anti-inflammatory properties, and the pH-balanced formula helps keep my skin from spiraling into oil-dry chaos by noon.

This is the kind of cleanser I now recommend to friends who say, “everything makes me red” — because I’ve been there. And this? This doesn’t make anything worse. It just makes things calmer.

Is it really possible that only a cleanser can improve redness? Or do you use other products for redness?

Not op, but I never expect miracle from 'one' product. Rather I would rely on thoughtful routine that I set for certain concern

I saw a review of this cream but Cell Fusion C post alpha calming down cream worked for my redness! The cream is literally green and it gradually improved my redness

Considering the sensitivity of my skin, this sounds like my next try of cleansers!! Especially I like the part that it doesn’t give you the dryness after washing, which most of 'gentle' cleansers do.

Same. Never realized how amazing it feels when your cleanser doesn't strip your face

I'm still sus about gentle cleanser. If it cannot wash off makeup or sunscreens, why on the earth do you need to use it? For morning? Isn't it enough to just wash with after in the morning?

Personally I do double cleansing everytime I wear makeup, and the role of foam cleanser for me isn't to remove makeup completely, but to effectively remove dirt and excess oil

I think you meant to use water not after but it's totally up to your skin. I used to rinse with water but now that the weather gets warmer, I use the 'gentle' cleanser
