Cool green cloud for my face (with a catch): living with the Some By Mi 30 Days Miracle Cream

I have pretty dry skin for someone in their early twenties, so anything with acids in it usually makes me a bit nervous before I even open the jar.

Most of the time, products that promise AHA or BHA mean flakiness around my mouth and that tight, stretched feeling by the end of the day.

Still, I kept seeing the Some By Mi AHA·BHA·PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream everywhere, so one night after doom-scrolling skincare reviews, I just decided to try it.

Part of me was expecting to regret it, but I was also really curious about whether an exfoliating cream could actually work on dry skin without wrecking it.

When it arrived, the first thing that surprised me was the color.

The cream in the jar is a soft light green, and for a second I just stared at it wondering what I was about to put on my face this time.

Then I remembered the whole heartleaf, tea tree, miracle-treatment marketing and thought, okay, at least the color matches the vibe.

Texture-wise, it sits right between a gel and a cream.

It feels smooth and a little bouncy when I scoop it out, spreads really easily, and does not run everywhere or feel heavy in that thick, balmy way.

On the skin, it has that instant cooling slip that makes my face go, this is nice, especially after a hot shower or a long day outside.

There is definitely a scent, and it leans eucalyptus and herbal rather than sweet or floral.

I can smell it while I am applying, and it gives off that kind of light, spa-clean vibe that feels fresh but not like a perfume hit.

Once it sinks in, the scent mostly disappears, and I am just left with skin that feels cool and a bit velvety on top.

The part that really surprised me is that my dry, slightly touchy skin did not freak out the first time I used it.

With AHA, BHA, and PHA all in the name, I was braced for at least some tingling or redness, but it went on completely comfortably.

No burning, no sting, no moment where I thought I should wash it off and pretend this never happened.

It just settled in and left this softly cooled, smoothed-over finish that made my skin feel a bit neater than before.

After a couple of weeks of using it at night, that is when I started to notice the actual changes.

The little rough bits I always have around my chin and jawline felt less bumpy, and my cheeks felt smoother when I absent-mindedly ran my hand over them while watching shows.

Right after applying, my face has that slightly plumped, hydrated look, like I actually slept eight hours and drank something other than iced coffee.

It is not a blinding glass-skin glow, more like a soft, rested brightness that makes my reflection look a bit less tired.

I also noticed a small change in the fine dehydration lines that like to collect under my eyes and around my mouth when my skin is cranky.

They are not gone, but they are softened enough that my concealer does not sink into them as obviously on the mornings after I use this.

As for the exfoliating part, it feels very low-key.

I never had any dramatic peeling or obvious flakes, but my overall texture just slowly looked more even and less rough.

My skin tone looked a bit more even too, especially around the areas that usually look a bit dull, like the sides of my mouth and along my jaw.

It also helped calm some of the tiny stress bumps I get when life is chaotic and my routine slips a bit.

On nights when my skin felt rough but not destroyed, this cream worked like a gentle clean-up crew.

Now for the part that reminds me I still have dry skin: the moisture level is not quite enough on its own.

Right after I put it on, everything feels cushioned and comfortable, but a few hours later I can feel that familiar tightness creeping back, especially around my cheeks and the corners of my mouth.

It is not painfully dry, just that subtle stiff feeling that makes me want to add something else on top.

If I treat this as my only moisturizer, my skin starts asking for more pretty quickly, especially on colder, windy days.

The way it works best for me is when I treat it like an active finishing cream rather than the main moisture step.

I load up on hydration first with a toner and maybe a serum, let those settle, and then use a thin layer of this Miracle Cream to smooth and refine everything.

Used that way, I get the softness, the gentle brightening, and the texture improvement without feeling like my skin is drying out halfway through the day.

So overall, I think of the Some By Mi AHA·BHA·PHA 30 Days Miracle Cream as a really nice smoothing cream that happens to sit in the moisturizer category.

It makes my skin feel softer, look a bit more even, and gives that fresh, hydrated look right after I use it, especially when my texture has been acting up.

The minty-herbal scent and the light green color give it a kind of calming, slightly fun personality, which I actually enjoy in my night routine.

But for dry skin like mine, it is not a one-and-done, deep-comfort cream.

It will smooth, brighten a little, and calm small bumps, as long as you give it enough hydration support underneath.

If your skin is more normal, combination, or on the oilier side, I can easily see this being enough moisture by itself.

On my drier skin, it is the product I grab when I want my face to feel a bit smoother and more refined, but I make sure there is a good hydrating base underneath so it does not quietly dry me out later.

I had almost the same experience texture wise but the scent was way too much for me. after a week that minty herbal thing started to give me a headache so i had to retire it

Love that you admitted the moisture isnt enough on its own for dry skin! Too many reviews act like its a miracle cream that somehow exfoliates and deeply hydrates at the same time

ngl if your barrier is already on the weaker side, using this every night was kinda asking for trouble

its still an active, not a basic hydrating cream, you kinda have to treat it like one

For me it only worked 2–3 nights a week, anything more and my skin started complaining too.

i get that everyone should patch test and go slow, but if half the reviews are “great but careful” maybe the brand should say that louder

question for people who broke out from this, was it more whiteheads or deep cystic spots? trying to figure out if my closed comedone prone skin can risk it
