I had high hopes for the Isntree Onion Newpair Gel Cream — especially with how much it’s praised online. But after finishing the tube, I can honestly say I’m disappointed.
For starters, the price-to-size ratio isn’t great. It’s a small tube, and while the texture is nice and it spreads easily, it didn’t last long at all. Especially not for something that I expected to see visible results from.
I have combination skin, and while I didn’t hate how it felt (non-sticky, absorbs well), I also didn’t notice any significant change. My acne marks and redness looked about the same, and even though I used it consistently every night, it didn’t give me that “wow, my skin looks calmer” moment.
To me, it feels like one of those products that’s probably great for people with dry or reactive skin, but not that effective if your skin is more combo/oily or resilient. I wish I liked it more, but honestly, I feel like I bought into the influencer hype.
If it were more affordable, I might keep it as a layering cream. But at this price? I’ll be trying something else next time.
