Skin tone: Light with yellow undertone (not super pale)
Personal color: Probably spring warm ๐ผ
Makeup style: Soft and girly but not too loud โ I like glow, not glitter bombs!
Hi!! So blush has always been one of my favorite makeup steps. Even when Iโm barely wearing anything else, I feel like a little bit of pink on the cheeks just makes me look alive (and cuter lol). I recently got super curious about pink shimmer blushes, especially ones that would go well with my tone โ I think Iโm a spring warm, since my skin has a bit of a yellow undertone and cooler pinks usually wash me out.
After doing way too much research on TikTok and Reddit, I picked out five pink blushes that looked shimmery but wearable. These are the five I tried (in order of swatches from top to bottom in my pic)
1. Canmake Glow Fleur Cheeks P01 (Japan)
2. Hince True Dimension Glow Cheek
3. Naming x Wonjeongyo Japan Limited Edition
4. Dior Rosy Glow in Tutu
5. Banila Co Sugar Bloom Bouncy Blusher
Letโs break it down! ๐ซง
โจ Canmake Glow Fleur P01
The color is soft pink with a gentle shimmer, but donโt let the โnaturalโ vibe fool you โ it actually shows up really well on the skin. Itโs not one of those blushes that disappear after one swipe. It blends like a dream and gives you that perfect everyday flush. The shimmer is fine, almost invisible unless you catch the light just right.
๐ฉท Best for: fair to light spring tones, especially if you want a pretty flush without going overboard.
๐ฉท Wear time: decent (around 4โ5 hours on my combo skin).
๐ฉท Vibe: Fresh-faced and sweet, like you just walked out of a picnic.
โจ Hince Glow Cheek
This is really similar to Canmake in color but with a slightly more โgrown-upโ texture. It has that signature Hince glow โ soft but noticeable. I liked how it layered, and it gives a very subtle dimension to the cheekbones. Itโs one of those blushes you can build without looking powdery.
๐ฉท Best for: spring warm to neutral tones.
๐ฉท Wear time: lasts a bit longer than Canmake, like 6 hours.
๐ฉท Vibe: Polished but not too serious โ perfect for school days or hanging out.
โจ Naming x Wonjeongyo (Japan-only)
This one surprised me! Itโs a deeper pink with a rose tone and the shimmer is more bold โ not chunky, but definitely eye-catching. Compared to the first two, this has more of a K-pop stage makeup feel. I like wearing this when I do a full face or want my blush to pop a little more.
๐ฉท Best for: warm neutral tones or even muted spring types. Might be a bit strong on very fair skin.
๐ฉท Wear time: strong! Almost all day.
๐ฉท Vibe: Confident and trendy. The shimmer gives it that "I did my makeup today" look.
โจ Dior Rosy Glow in Tutu
Okayโฆ I finally get why people hype this one up. Itโs so reflective! The shimmer is the most visible of the bunch, but in a very โexpensive skinโ way. The pink is softer than Naming, a little muted but still brightening. It gives my face that soft glam glow. Definitely one I reach for when I want my makeup to feel a little fancy or โmain character.โ
๐ฉท Best for: spring and summer tones who like glam.
๐ฉท Wear time: great โ 7+ hours.
๐ฉท Vibe: Romantic and glowy. Definitely a โIโm wearing Diorโ moment.
โจ Banila Co Sugar Bloom
So cute in the pan! This is the coolest-toned pink of the bunch, and it applies more like a shimmer veil than a full-on blush. I actually use this as a blush topper sometimes. The texture is bouncy and fun (kinda like a Colourpop super shock). If you're warm-toned like me, it can look a little too cool alone, but layered over a warmer base blush โ SO pretty!
๐ฉท Best for: cool tone girls or anyone looking for a shimmer pop.
๐ฉท Wear time: medium. Fades a bit after 4โ5 hours.
๐ฉท Vibe: Youthful, playful, almost like a highlighter-blush hybrid.
โจ Final Thoughts โจ
Honestly, I think personal color is becoming a huge deal even here in the US, and I totally see why. Some of these blushes that looked sooo pretty on influencers just didnโt vibe with my tone IRL. For my yellow-toned, maybe-spring-warm face, my top picks were Hince and Canmake โ both made me look fresh without clashing with my undertone. Dior was GORGEOUS but something Iโd use less often. Naming was more dramatic but great for special days. Banila was fun, but I have to work a bit to make it wearable.
Let me know if youโve tried any of these โ and Iโd love recs for blushes that work for warm teens like me!
