OOOOO Toner just didn’t work for me

Okay so I really wanted to like this. Everyone online keeps hyping it up like it's the holy grail of Korean toners. TikTok girlies were calling it “barrier-healing” and “calming AF” so I caved and bought it

Regret.

My skin type: Combo (oily T-zone, dry cheeks) and extremely reactive. I have mild rosacea and can’t do fragrance, alcohol, or heavy textures. I keep my routine simple. Hydration is my main focus

What I expected: Something gentle and hydrating that I could layer up after cleansing. No stinging, no flare-ups, no sticky mess

What I got:

▪ A super thin liquid that feels like fancy tap water
▪ Absolutely no hydration unless I did 3+ layers
▪ Slight irritation on day 3 (red cheeks and a weird tight feeling around my eyes)
▪ Broke out around my chin after 1 week (and I wasn’t using anything else new)

I know people say it’s “great for sensitive skin” but honestly I think that label gets thrown around too loosely. Just because something doesn’t have alcohol or fragrance doesn’t automatically mean it’s safe for everyone

I looked at the ingredients again and yeah okay, it’s mineral-rich seawater but… like… so? It didn’t do anything calming for me. No glow, no soothing effect. Just thin, disappointing layers that made me wonder if I was doing something wrong

Also the bottle is awkward. The cap gets messy and it’s hard to control how much comes out. It looks aesthetic on the shelf, but functionally meh

Other things that annoyed me:

▪ It layered weirdly with my other hydrating toner (Pyunkang Yul)
▪ My skin felt drier after a few days instead of more hydrated
▪ It gave me a weird bumpy texture that took forever to go away

If your skin barrier is already fragile, I honestly wouldn’t risk this. It might work if your skin is super normal and chill but if you’re dealing with inflammation, rosacea, or barrier issues, I’d look elsewhere

Final verdict:

Just not for me. I finished about 1/4 of the bottle and gave up. Gave it to my roommate and even she said it felt useless

Overhyped. Underwhelming. Kinda annoyed I spent money on this
