I’ve been meaning to sit down and write a full review on the HERA Skin Radiant Glow Balm because honestly… I’m obsessed. I know there’s a lot of glow/highlighter products out there right now, but this one really feels different.
So we all know the whole glass skin thing is a huge trend. And I’ve used powder highlighters or hydrating mists to create that look but it didn’t really work. But then I see all the celebrities with the most glowing stunning skin ever and I was dying to know what they do!
But then one day I found this product from a good friend of mine who is also obsessed with makeup, and I said. “I found it!!!!”
My friend had another one she got from the brand, so I got it (lucky girl) I found it on ‘Beauty Box Korea’ but nowhere else like Yesstyle or oliveyoung. And mine and my friend’s weren’t for sale so I wonder if it’s only available in Korea or something. (To. Hera PLZZ get this product globally!!)
🎀First impression:
the packaging is STUNNING. Very HERA — sleek, minimal, and luxurious. It feels heavy and luxe in the hand, and the twist-up stick is super convenient. You can definitely tell from first glance that they weren’t trying to make this another “dewy stick” that feels greasy or cheap.
🎀Texture:
The formula is balmy but lightweight. When you swipe it on your skin, it melts in beautifully without disrupting your makeup underneath (huge bonus). It’s not sticky to the touch once applied thinly, but it is a bit more emollient compared to other glow sticks I’ve tried — which I personally love because it gives that “lit from within” finish instead of a harsh sparkle or shimmer.
🎀Finish on the skin:
This is where the HERA Glow Balm kills it.
The glow is super fine, almost transparent, but it catches the light in the most flattering way. It doesn’t look like a layer sitting on top of your makeup — it genuinely looks like your skin is naturally bouncy and hydrated. I apply it on the high points of my face: cheekbones, bridge of the nose, brow bone, and sometimes a little bit on my chin and cupid’s bow.
I also tested it both over light base makeup and full foundation. It worked beautifully in both cases. Over a dewy BB cream, it just amplified the radiance. Over a matte foundation, it gave me those subtle glossy highlights without making me look oily.
🎀One minor downside:
Because the balm is quite soft and slightly sticky in texture, the surface of the stick can get a little dirty. If you keep it in a makeup pouch or apply it after using other powder products, tiny dusts and particles tend to stick to it. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but just something to be aware of if you’re picky about keeping your products clean.
I usually just wipe the top lightly with a tissue before closing it again, and it’s fine.
🎀How I like to use it:
I’ve actually started keeping it in my bag for touch-ups because it’s so easy to use. Whenever I feel like my makeup looks a bit flat during the day, I dab this on with my fingers and boom — fresh, dewy skin again. I also love it on no-makeup days when I just want a little bit of natural-looking healthy glow without layering on foundation or heavy creams.
🎀Longevity:
It stays on surprisingly well. Obviously, because it’s a balm, it’s not going to survive through intense sweating or mask-wearing all day. But on regular days, I can still see that slight radiance hours later without needing to reapply.
🎀Final thoughts:
If you’re into that K-drama actress glass skin look — not glittery, not wet-looking, just healthy and radiant — this is 100% worth trying.
The price is on the higher side (it’s HERA, after all), but the quality matches. It feels like a luxury glow product that’s actually wearable for everyday life, not just for photoshoots.
🎀Would I repurchase?
Honestly, yes. I already know it’s going to be a staple for me especially in spring and summer when I like my skin to look super fresh and light.
If I had to rate it:
✅️ 9/10 — minus 1 point for the dust issue but everything else is pretty much perfect.
