Daiso offers a vast range of skincare products. Among them, I purchased two items: The Thelab by blancdoux Ampoule (a brand also available at oliveyoung) and the JM Solution B5 Hya Ampoule, a moisture serum from a brand I had never seen before.
I originally planned to buy the Curesona Serum, but when it suddenly became unavailable in stores due to a surge in demand, I decided to try the JM Solution B5 Hya Ampoule as an alternative.
The lab by blancdoux dewy glow ampoule
Texture: This ampoule has a firm, non runny consistency that adheres well to the skin. It’s exactly what I was looking for, designed for dry skin in winter.
Key Ingredients: Not specified.
Scent: Fragrance free
JM solution B5 hya ampoule
Texture: It features a watery, lightweight formula with a viscosity similar to that of Torriden.
Key Ingredients: Panthenol, Allantoin, Hyaluronic Acid.
Scent: Initially, it emits a strong, cologne like aroma, but this dissipates completely within a few seconds when applied with the dropper.
If you’re looking for an ampoule that provides extra hydration for dry skin, I’d recommend the Thelab product.
Note that it doesn’t come with a dropper, so you have to squeeze it out manually, and it feels slightly thinner than the version sold at oliveyoung. In terms of texture alone, it’s comparable to 9wishes.
On the other hand, the JM Solution ampoule, with its watery consistency, is excellent for layering and works well as a pre-makeup hydration boost. Making it suitable for combination or oily skin.
The best part? I got both for only 5,000 won each (roughly $4).
