Look, I’ve tried enough sunscreens to know that most of them are either ▪ a greasy mess ▪ break me out ▪ smell like I’m at the beach in 2005 ▪ or all of the above. I don’t usually repurchase sunscreen because I’m always testing new ones, but this one? Yeah. I used up the full 50ml and already cracked open a second tube.
The texture? Exactly what the name promises. This is a true serum, like a gel-lotion that sinks in instantly. No waxy residue, no greasy finish. It disappears into the skin so well that the first time I used it, I kept touching my face wondering if it even applied. It did. It really did. The finish is what I’d call moist-satin. Not matte, not dewy, just that soft, rested-skin kind of glow. And the best part is no white cast. Not even a little.
Let’s talk ingredients. This formula leans hard into barrier-loving, hydration-boosting goodness. You get Centella Asiatica extract, which calms redness and helps with inflammation, and multiple types of hyaluronic acid that hydrate on multiple levels. It’s clearly made with sensitive skin in mind. No fragrance, no alcohol, no essential oils. It’s like they made it for people with PTSD from bad sunscreen experiences.
Under makeup, it behaves like a dream. I’ve worn it with both tinted moisturizer and full glam and it never pills or causes separation. It plays nice with everything. I barely use primer anymore because this leaves such a smooth base. Just let it settle for a few minutes after skincare and you're good to go.
The sun protection is absolutely solid. SPF50+ with PA++++. I took it to Miami, wore it on the beach, and came back without a hint of redness. It doesn't sting my eyes, even after sweating. It layers beautifully when you reapply, which is rare in a sunscreen this light. That second and third layer never feel cakey or gross.
Would I repurchase? Already did. This is that unicorn sunscreen you actually enjoy using, the one that makes reapplication not a chore but a treat. If you only want one sunscreen in your routine that won’t annoy you or ruin your makeup, it’s this. If you're a skincare junkie with twelve steps and acids and face oils? Still works beautifully.
In terms of skin types, I think it hits a wide range. Oily and combo skin types will probably love how breathable it feels. Sensitive skin types will appreciate how gentle it is. Dry skin folks might want to pair it with a heavier moisturizer underneath since it doesn’t have a lot of occlusive ingredients. If your skin is super flaky or going through winter hell, it might not be quite enough alone, but it’s still a strong contender layered with something richer.
Also, it's totally travel-friendly. It’s TSA-approved size, comes in a lightweight squeeze tube, and hasn’t exploded in my bag once. Because it spreads so easily, a small amount covers a lot of ground. I do face, neck, and ears with just a dime-sized dollop.
Here’s the bottom line ▪ It’s lightweight and sinks in fast
▪ It leaves zero white cast
▪ It’s fragrance-free and gentle
▪ It works under makeup without pilling
▪ It really protects from the sun
▪ It may not be hydrating enough for very dry skin
▪ You’ll go through it quickly if applying generously
If I could change one thing, it’d be the size. Give me a jumbo version already. This is the sunscreen I recommend to literally everyone who asks me for a rec. It’s just that easy and that good.
Only thing I’m curious about—have you tried this in colder months? I wonder if I’d need something heavier to pair it with in the winter. Still, easily one of the best textures I’ve tried in YEARS.
Sensitive-skin friendly, good under makeup, no weird finish??? Please let this be the one 🙏
