So I found this little thing while doomscrolling Amazon — The SAEM Iceland Hydrating Collagen Eye Stick. It’s been selling like crazy there, even though The SAEM isn’t exactly a “hot” brand in Korea right now. Amazon really does its own thing lol.
The product promises to hydrate, de-puff, and refresh the under-eye area, packed with collagen and Icelandic mineral water (because… why not). Honestly, I wasn’t expecting miracles. I mean, if a $9 stick could erase dark circles and fix sunken eye bags, we’d all know, right?
That said — as someone who wakes up looking like I’ve been crying all night (even when I haven’t lol), it actually felt nice to swipe it on first thing in the morning. It’s super cooling and gives that instant “I’m trying my best” feeling without being greasy or sticky.
Plus, the stick format with a cap is actually really hygienic, which I appreciate — no messy fingers or double-dipping when you’re rushing through your AM routine.
I did notice that a lot of Amazon reviews mentioned allergic reactions, probably because of the fragrance and alcohol content. I was kinda nervous because when it’s cheap and popular, you just know there’s a catch. Luckily, my skin handled it pretty well. No weird bumps, no burning — just a light, slightly dewy finish.
Is it a game-changer for dark circles or hollow under-eyes? Nah. It’s more of a refreshing step to feel alive in the morning than an actual treatment. Would I repurchase? Hmm… not sure lol. It’s good enough to finish but not life-changing enough to miss once it’s gone.
