I really wanted to like this sunscreen. It checks so many boxes: clean packaging, great ingredient list, fragrance-free, and calming ingredients like heartleaf.
And while it might work well for dry or sensitive skin, for my oily skin, it unfortunately felt like a miss.
Application & Absorption
The cream itself is lightweight, yes—but after applying, it just didn’t go anywhere. It kind of sat on top of my skin, and throughout the day, it started to feel slippery. Especially around my nose and forehead, it left a bit of shine that turned into full-on oiliness by the afternoon.
I tried using less product, layering thinner—same result. The issue seems to be that it doesn’t absorb fast enough or dry down completely on oilier skin types.
Texture Clash with Other Products
Another issue: this didn’t sit well with my moisturizer. When layered over a gel-based hydrator, it started pilling a little bit. Not severely, but enough to be annoying. It kind of kills the vibe when you’re rubbing your face and you feel little flakes forming.
White Cast & Sensitivity?
Thankfully, no white cast at all, and no stinging around the eyes. I do think this is where the product shines—it’s very gentle. But it’s not enough to outweigh the greasiness on my end.
🔍 Who It’s For
I’d recommend this to people with:
• Dry or sensitive skin
• Minimal oil production
• Looking for something with a skincare-like finish
But if you’re looking for something matte, mattifying, or controlling, this isn’t it. You’ll probably find yourself blotting or powdering within a few hours.
❌ Final Thoughts
Not a bad sunscreen. Just… not for me. I’ll be passing it on to my dry-skinned roommate.
