My First Grown-Up Cushion!

I’ll be honest, I got this cushion because of the hype and the packaging (and yes, I wanted to feel like I had my life together). I'm more into skincare rather than the actual makeup, so I usually just use sunscreen and tinted lip balm, so this was my first “real” base product — and wow. I get it now.

The texture is so smooth and not scary full coverage. It gives that clean, glowy finish like I’ve had 8 hours of sleep (when I’ve had like 4). My skin is a little dry in the morning, but this doesn’t cling to dry patches or cake up. I even skipped primer a few times and it still looked great.

I use this before my 9AM class and don’t really touch up all day — just a bit of powder if I’m looking shiny in the afternoon. It sits nicely on my skin and makes me feel like… polished but not doing too much. You know?

Shade-wise, I got #Pink Light, which is maybe a tiny bit too pink for me, but still blends well with some bronzer and blush. I don’t regret the splurge — it’s definitely the nicest-looking product on my desk now, and makes me want to actually get ready in the morning.

I've never tried any cushion foundation yet but it sounds pretty good!

But what's the point paying the same amount money as foundation and you get the less amount and a cushion...?

Pro tip for the pink undertone issue - mix in a drop of your regular sunscreen or moisturizer to sheer it out and neutralize the pinkness!
Also if you're dry, try the Laneige Glowy Makeup Serum - makes cushions look even more skin-like.

Not clinging to dry patches is thanks to the cushion's unique formula since they contain way more emollients than traditional foundations. The cushion sponge also applies product in thin, even layers rather than piling it on. For class days, try pressing it just on the center of your face and blending outward which will give the most natural finish!
