Week 1 Check-In: Skin1004 Madagascar Centella Hyalu-Cica Sun Stick

I’ve been using this sun stick for about a week now and figured I’d share my first impressions before things get too deep.

Packaging & Application
The stick format is super convenient. No spills, no mess, and it’s easy to throw in my bag for on-the-go touch-ups. The packaging feels sturdy and simple — nothing flashy, but definitely practical.

Application-wise, it glides on smoothly and melts into my skin pretty quickly. It’s not sticky or greasy like some sunscreens I’ve tried before, which is honestly refreshing. Also, zero white cast — huge plus because I’m always paranoid about that ghostly look.

Skin Feel & Comfort
For the first few days, my skin felt comfortable and hydrated. I liked how the product didn’t make my face feel heavy or clogged, which is often a problem with other sunblocks. The centella and hyaluronic acid combo seemed to add some soothing hydration, especially since I had some minor redness from other products.

That said, I did notice some slight dryness around my nose by day five. Nothing crazy, but enough for me to keep an eye on it. I’m guessing the formula’s matte finish means there’s some oil control happening, which might be why.

Breakouts & Irritation?
Luckily, no breakouts so far. My skin is generally sensitive, so that’s a win. No itching or stinging either, which means it’s gentle enough for my skin barrier. I’m cautiously optimistic because sunscreen can be tricky for me.

Scent & Other Thoughts
The product is fragrance-free, which I love. No weird chemical smell or overpowering scent. That makes it easier to layer with my other skincare without sensory overload.

Overall at Week 1
I’m feeling good about this sun stick so far. It’s convenient, comfortable, and doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin. I’ll keep using it and update after a few more weeks to see if my skin keeps cooperating or if any issues pop up.

If you want a sunscreen that feels light but still protective, and you like the stick format, this might be worth a try. Just remember everyone’s skin is different, so patch testing is key.
