Toner for overheated girlies

Anua Heartleaf 77 soothing toner 350 mL

I have changed the toner around two months ago and I am going to do some detailed review about it.

I have only used the same toner since 8th grade but decided to change it since it has absolutely no benefits on my skin.

So I got interested in K-beauty and decided to get one among them.

(Actually, my friend is deeply into korean skincare nowadays lol and she strongly urged me to buy one of them.)

<Size>

The first impression of this toner was that it is way bigger than I thought.

Aren't toners usually around 200mL? im not sure tho....

When buying, I thought it was kinda expensive but after receiving it, I found it a reasonable price.

U should keep it in your mind that it will be bigger than u expected.

<My skin type>

My skin type is a very oily skin and also very sensitive.

I have acnes especially around my cheeks.

And my skin is ALWAYS overheated which is terrible in summer.

<Texture>

The texture of this skin is very watery.

It is really light.

So I was concerned if it will be able to hydrate my skin enough...

It was okay. It hydrates my skin enough but since it is very light, I like to layer it multiple times.

It never becomes too heavy but just perfectly hydrated.

So if u dont like light toners bc ur skin is too dry, i wont recommend it.

<Cooling>

Also, I really liked it that it makes my skin instantly look refreshed.

As i mentioned before, my skin is always overheated, but I could feel that this toner cools down my skin instantly.

I was wondering if it is my own personal feeling or the product itself's function.

So I searched through the official website and here u go.

It was PROVEN to cool down ur skin so my hot girlies can go use it rn!!

<Hydration>

Even though your skin is very oily on the surface, it doesn't mean that ur skin is always HYDRATED.

Oil and hydration is a total different area so even though your skin is oily on its surface, u should always care about hydration..

If your skin lacks of hydration, your skin tends to produce more oil than usual.

WHY? to protect your skin.

If your skin is dehydrated, it can start overproducing oil to compensate the lack of moisture.

So for oily girlies, it is NECESSARY to find a product that is also LIGHT and HYDRATING,

which is the hardest part....

But this toner was very successful on it.

It is not the kind of toner that would be hydrating only right after u applied it but it lasts really long.

Do you know the reason why some toners are really light and cooling at first but makes your skin dryer and more oily later?

That's because they contain "volatile alcohols"

This toner doesn't contain harsh, volatile alcohols that feel cool and light at first but actually lead to more serious moisture loss by even evaporating your skin's natural hydration.

These volatile alcohols weaken skin barrier in sensitive skin, and cause stinging and irritation.

This toner includes gentle, skin-friendly ingridients, that r referred as "good alcohols" instead.

They are 1,2-Hexanediol, glycerin, butylene glycol, and isopentyldiol.

<Ingredients>

Houttuynia Cordata Flower/Leaf/Stem Extract (77%), Water, 1,2-Hexanediol, Glycerin, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, Isopentyldiol, Panthenol, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Tromethamine, Centella Asiatica Extract, Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Vitex Agnus-Castus Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Hydroxypropyltrimonium Hyaluronate, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hyaluronic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate Crosspolymer, Potassium Hyaluronate, Disodium EDTA

These are the ingredients of this toner.

I know that the name of iungredients are difficult so I am going to explain the key ingredients that plays a main role of this toner.

First one is the Hou7ttuynia Cordata Extract (77%).

The 77 on the name of this toner is from this ingredient.

It soothes the skin and also have anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effects, which will be very beneficial for sensitive, acne skins.

Second one is Panthenol, which is a famous one.

This one moisturises and strengthens the skin barrier and is commonly used in skincare items.

Third one is the Centella Asiatica Extract.

It is also for the sensitive skin. It promotes skin healing and calming.

If you study the ingredients of this toner, u can easily figure out that this toner is focused on soothing the sensitive skin.

Last ones are Hyaluronic Acid Complex.

If u look at the last part of the ingredients list, u can see that there r a bunch of hyaluro smth.

They are the hyaluronic acid complex and deliver intense hydration and locks in moisture of ur skin.

<Soothing>

If I say it removed all my big acnes, it is a lie.

But it did remove my small acne bumps and smooth my skin texture.

I have big acnes on my cheeks and skin texture of my forehead is very bumpy.

After using this toner for two weeks, I could see that my forhead got a lot better.

It was a lot smoother.

Also, even though it couldnt remove big acnes, there were more acnes after using this toner so I am satisfied enough.

<Summary>

I rate this toner as 4/5.

It was great

It hydrated enough and smoothened my forhead.

But it couldnt remove my big acnes but i didnt even expected a toner to get rid of it.....

I would highly recommend this toner to girlies with overheated and sensitive skin!

    I love to use it as a mask. I soak cotton pads with this and leave it on my face for 10min. That’s the best way to cool down skin before makeup. Trust me
