Abib Heartleaf Essence Calming Pump Review

If you’re on the hunt for a lightweight, fast-absorbing serum that won’t interfere with your makeup or sunscreen, the Abib Heartleaf Essence Calming Pump is worth a look. With a watery gel texture that feels instantly refreshing, this serum glides effortlessly onto the skin and sinks in quickly, no tackiness, no stickiness, just a clean, cooling finish.

Formulated with heartleaf, a beloved calming ingredient in K-beauty, this serum is a great match for oily and combination skin types year-round. It also works well for dry skin as a daytime option layered under richer moisturizers. What stands out most is how hydrating and soothing it feels, especially for irritated, sensitive, or acne-prone skin. It's minimal, gentle, and free from common irritants, making it a solid choice if your skin flares up easily.

My take? This is a lovely serum to have in your routine. It left my skin feeling calm and lightly hydrated, and I appreciated how weightless and non-greasy it felt, particularly during warmer days. That said, it didn’t quite dethrone my go-to hydrating serums, as I didn’t notice as much of a visible calming or barrier-repair effect as I’d hoped.

A note for dry or dehydrated skin types! This might not deliver enough moisture on its own, especially if you're craving a dewy or cushiony finish. The formula leans more toward sebum control and lightweight hydration, which some might find a little too subtle.

Final thoughts? A solid, fuss-free serum that plays nicely with other products and shines in a minimalist, acne-friendly routine. While it may not be a holy grail for everyone, it’s definitely one to try, especially if you spot it on sale.

Would you say this worked for flare-up days? I’m super reactive (like, mugwort is sometimes too much for me lol) so I’m eyeing heartleaf as a next try

I’m slowly stripping my routine down to <5 products and this sounds like it could earn a spot

Thanks for the heads up on hydration limits! I almost clicked buy but I’m definitely more in the 'cushiony serum' camp
