Hey beauty fam!
So I’m currently traveling through South Korea (hello from Seoul 👋), and obviously, as a beauty junkie, I made Olive Young my second home. If you’ve been here, you know the grip that store has. I wasn’t even planning to buy anything for my hair, but something about this sleek white spray bottle caught my eye. Enter : Healing Bird Hyaluron Milk Hair Mist.
It had just launched in Korea — the staff said it had only been a couple days since release — and I couldn’t find any English reviews online, so I thought, “Why not try it and share my first impressions?” So here’s my review after two days of use!
Quick Context : My Hair Type
Before I jump into the product, here’s what we’re working with:
Hair Type: High-porosity (aka dry ends, sucks up moisture like a sponge)
Scalp: Oily/greasy-prone
Environment: Hot, humid Korean summer
Routine: I usually air-dry or low-heat style, wash every 2–3 days
I’m very cautious with hair products because many things either make my roots look greasy or weigh down my hair like I dunked it in lotion. But my ends desperately need hydration, especially with travel, pollution, and hotel air conditioning wrecking my moisture levels.
First Impressions – Packaging & Scent
The bottle is super minimal and chic, a matte white spray bottle with clean labeling and a secure cap. It doesn’t scream “luxury” but feels modern and travel-friendly. The nozzle sprays a fine, even mist — no annoying chunky splatters.
The scent? GORGEOUS. It’s described as “white floral musk” and I’d say that’s spot-on. Think: soft, fresh floral notes with a warm musky base. It’s subtle but lingers enough to give your hair a polished, clean-hair vibe all day.
Not overly perfumed, and it doesn’t clash with my shampoo or body spray. Bonus points for that!
Key Features (What It Claims to Do)
From the packaging and Olive Young info signs, here’s what this mist promises.
Hyaluronic acid complex to hydrate dry hair
Milk protein extract for nourishment
No-wash formula – just spray and go
UV protection for hair (love this!)
Heat protection – good for styling days
Lightweight finish
Sounds promising, right? Especially the no-rinse, UV-protect, and hyaluronic acid part — my dry ends were ready for it.
Application & Routine
I used this mist two ways.
On damp hair after towel-drying – I’d spray from mid-length to ends, then comb through with fingers.
On dry hair in the morning – Especially on no-wash days or before stepping out in the sun.
It never made my scalp greasy, which is a miracle considering how sensitive it is to build-up. I also used it before blow-drying twice, and my hair felt softer but not flat — it still had bounce.
Real-Life Performance
Here’s what I noticed.
Hydration boost: My ends look noticeably smoother and less straw-like. Not greasy — just… healthier.
Shine: A soft, natural glow (not glassy or oily)
UV protection: I can’t measure it, but my hair didn’t feel fried after long sunny walks.
Frizz control: Slightly tames flyaways, especially when I use it post-blow dry.
Scent retention: Stays fresh for a few hours, then fades — I kind of wish it lasted longer because it smells so good!
Lightweight feel: My roots didn’t get heavy, even with daily use.
Bonus: It actually made my hair easier to brush through when dry. I wasn’t expecting detangling help, but I’ll take it.
Is It Travel-Friendly?
YES. The bottle’s size fits my carry-on liquids bag, and it didn’t leak or crack despite being thrown around in my luggage. Total win.
Final Thoughts – Would I Repurchase?
100% yes — if I can get my hands on it back in the U.S., that is. This is the kind of product I wish I had during summer back home too. Lightweight, hydrating, no buildup, and just makes your hair look and smell clean without extra effort.
If you’re in Korea or shopping K-beauty online, I highly recommend giving this a try. Especially if:
You have high-porosity or dry ends
You hate heavy leave-ins
You want UV/heat protection without thick serums
You love fresh, musky floral scents
It’s simple, elegant, and does what it says. Healing Bird — you’ve got a new fan.
Let me know if you’ve tried it or if you have any other Korean hair mist faves! I might need to pick up a second bottle before I leave Seoul 😅
