Hi!!
Im going to introduce u guys a toner pad i found recently!
It is a MEDIHEAL toner pad - Madecassoside blemish pad.
I am actually a big fan of toner pads than toner bc i love using toner pads as mask before makeup.
And I also prefer toner pads that are fully soaked with essence.
<My skin type>
My skin is very dry and easily overheated.
I have some pores. I am not acne-prone but do have some bumps around my forehead and cheeks.
They r not inflammatory tho.
My skin is very sensitive.
If i use any kind of skincare with strong fragrance, my skin gets irritated at once.
<How i found this toner pad>
When I do makeup with my friend, I borrowed this toner pad from my friend to cool down my skin before doing the base makeup.
I could feel the immediate cool down when I put on the toner pad on my face.
I got obsessed with the feeling and got the info of the toner pad from my friend and bought the exact same one.
And the toner pad was this Madecassoside pad from Mediheal.
<Texture and experience>
The toner was not very light nor heavy!
The texture itself is not very light but it FEELS light because the pad is cools down the skin.
But if you look at the toner itself, it is not watery at all.
It wasn't the kind of toner that lasts sticky and slippery on the surface of the skin.
It would get absorbed easily and makes skin hydrated from the deeper layer.
However, it may differ depending on your skin type.
It wasn't sticky or heavy because my skin is very dry.
So if you have a oily skin, it may feel sticky on your skin.
<Cooling>
This is the main reason I decided to try this toner pad.
I cover my face with this like a sheet mask before makeup.
It cools down the skin which leads to tightened pores.
It is very common to not being able to feel all the effects that are described in the official website.
They always feel so ideal.
But for this toner pad, I felt its cooling effect even before reading the description.
According to the website, the toner pad can decrease the skin temperature by 7.87 degrees celcius.
Its cooling effect is very useful during the summer for our overheated skin.
It makes base makeup apply better by making the skin temperature go down.
Also, if ur skin temperature decrease, it tightens pores.
That's why I don't use this toner pads like usual toner pads but use it as a sheet mask before makeup.
The common way to use toner pad is by wiping your face with the pad and smooth out the skin texture.
But the main benefit of this product is not smoothing the skin but cooling down so I would recommend to use this toner pad by covering all your face with it and leave it for 15-20 minutes like a mask before makeup.
<Soothing>
According to the website, this toner pad reduces irritation.
Ofc it is helpful for heat irritation since it is a cooling toner pad but for other irritations, I couldnt feel the effect.
I coudnt feel any of the bumps or acnes getting better after using this pad.
But it won't worsen it or irritate the skin neither.
It has Centella Asiatica extract, Madecassoside, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizatem Allantoin that soothes the skin but I coudn't actually feel it.
<Hydration>
I could feel that this toner is hydrating the skin from its deeper layer.
It has Saccharomyces Ferment, Lactobacillus ferment, Glycerin, Glycereth-26, Butylene Glycol, Dipropylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Polyglyceryl-10 Oleate, and Laurate in it which aids in hydration and strengthening the skin barrier.
These ingredients also help in maintaining the hydration in the skin.
It doesnt contain Ethanol, Alcohol Denat., and Isopropyl alcohol that can irritate and dry our skin.
These alcohols evaporate and makes your skin gets even dryer.
So some of the products are hydrating only at the first but won't last long.
Fortunately, this toner pad was hydrating for a long time.
It felt like there is a hydration barrier on my skin but that doesnt mean that this toner pad was sticky.
Not only cooling, but hydration of this toner pad was also very satisfying.
I love the glow it gives after using it and also the plumped feeling.
<The amount of essence in the toner pad>
This part was kinda disappointing personally.
I personally prefer toner pads that are soaked in essence so much that the essence would drip.
This one doesnt contain that much essence.
But still it is not that it isn't soaked enough and dry.
It has enough amount of essence that would hydrate your skin fully and would stick well to your skin when u use it as a mask.
<Sum>
I would rate this toner pad 4.5 out of 5.
Everything was perfect.
It wasnt irritating.
Its hydration was perfect and I just love its cooling effect.
This toner pad is a must-have item during the summer.
But I would have liked it better if it had a soothing effect as described so I got 0.5 point out.
Overheated girlies, this is a toner pad for ya so go get it rn!!
