Another tiktok hyped product that disappointed me

I had high hopes for the BOJ Tinted Sunserum, especially after seeing so many TikTok hype videos, but unfortunately, it didn’t work out for my skin type. I have dry-combination skin (dry in some areas, oily in others), and this product ended up being a struggle rather than a solution.

The packaging is cute and minimal, which I appreciated, but the formula itself felt problematic from the start.

Right after application, my skin looked oily on the surface, but when I touched it, it felt paradoxically dry underneath — that “surface oil but inner dryness” situation that’s so frustrating.

I tried to compensate by layering a rich moisturizer underneath, but even that didn’t fully solve the problem. Over time, my skin felt tight and dehydrated despite the oily finish, which is uncomfortable and makes me question the product’s moisturizing claims.

I was really hoping it would be a lightweight, hydrating tinted sunscreen that could replace my usual routine, but it felt like it made my skin worse. The tint didn’t blend well on my face either — it seemed to cling to dry patches and emphasized texture in some areas.

Considering the price and the hype, I expected a lot more. I’m someone who usually loves trying new Korean skincare products, especially ones with multitasking claims, but this one fell short. I’d rather stick with a dedicated foundation or a tinted moisturizer with proven hydration, rather than a sunscreen that makes me feel uncomfortable all day.

In summary, if you have skin that leans towards dryness or needs serious hydration, this might not be the best pick. It feels like the product prioritizes a lightweight, oily finish that doesn’t translate well to those with dry or dehydrated skin.

As much as I wanted to love it, this one’s a pass for me.

TikTok hype doesn’t always equal holy grail, and this is a clear example.
