Just finished this serum from Round Lab and wanted to share my thoughts. I’ve been on the hunt for pregnancy-safe options to help with hyperpigmentation and hopefully keep pregnancy melasma at bay.

From Round Lab website
I picked it up from Yesstyle and I think it was on promotion at the time, so it ended up being a bit of a spontaneous “why not?” purchase.

Skin Type & Concerns
Oily, but prone to surface dehydration. I have sunspots on my cheekbones and nose bridge, plus some post-acne hyperpigmentation and scarring.
Packaging
I found the packaging a little frustrating. It’s hard to tell how much serum is left inside, and the dropper often didn’t pick up enough product. I would’ve preferred a pump for ease of use.
Texture
Clear and slightly viscous, with little golden droplets suspended throughout. I haven’t seen those mentioned in any of the marketing, so I’m not sure what they are presumably an oil-based ingredient. The serum absorbed quickly and layered well with the rest of my routine.
Results
This actually worked better than I expected! Unfortunately, I didn’t take any progress photos, but I noticed a real improvement in a particularly stubborn post-acne mark that had been lingering forever.
Would I Repurchase?
Not totally sure. I’m currently using the Numbuzin No.5+ Brightening Serum and feel like I’m seeing quicker results with that one. That said, it’s possible the Round Lab serum helped lay the groundwork by addressing deeper pigmentation first.
For the price, especially if you find it on sale, I think this is a solid option. Overall, I’d give it a 4/5.
It’s such a small thing but it really made me dread using it every morning lol. I ended up decanting it into a pump bottle from Olive Young and it made a huge difference!
