My Experience with Torriden Dive in Serum and Isntree Onion newpair Ampoule

Torriden Dive in Serum

Texture: Super lightweight but surprisingly hydrating. Honestly, it feels more like a toner than a serum.

Key Ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid

Scent: Fragrance-free

Isntree Onion newpair Ampoule

Texture: Almost the same as Torriden, but just a tiny bit thicker. You wouldn’t really notice unless you’re paying close attention.

Key Ingredients: Onion Extract, Niacinamide

Scent: Barely noticeable, but it’s definitely different from Torriden.

SUMMARY

Moisture

Torriden = Isntree

Thick

Torriden < Isntree

Scent

Torriden < Isntree

The Torriden serum is so thin that it honestly feels more like a toner. I wish it were just a little thicker. Right now, it doesn’t feel like enough on its own.

Neither of them feels oily, but I still want something that has more weight to it, something that actually feels like a hydrating serum or ampoule.

Okay but WHY does no one talk about how the Torriden serum literally disappears into your skin?? I thought it’d be too watery but somehow it still leaves my skin feeling plump. I wish they had a “plus” version with more weight though.

Same! It’s like drinking water and then being told that was your meal. My skin’s like “that’s it?”
But still… she’s a graceful first step in a routine.

I actually prefer the Isntree one for texture. It’s slightly thicker and feels more like skincare, less like toner. I use it with a barrier cream and my skin doesn’t complain.

Omg yes!! I’m a combo skin girly and the Onion Ampoule fits my routine better. It works under sunscreen without pilling too.

Torriden is like your chill best friend 🥰
Isntree is your “I brought snacks and made you a spreadsheet” kind of friend😇

Wait that analogy is so real!!
Torriden is good for hot, sticky days when you want the bare minimum. But Isntree… she shows up when your skin’s angry.

Anyone else mix both? I do Torriden first, let it sink in, and then Isntree as a second serum. Layering goals.

Mixing both? Honestly, they’re just too light to matter.

Do you feel like one clogs your pores more than the other? My T-zone’s been acting up and I’m wondering if it’s one of them…

Unpopular opinion but I need my serums to FEEL like serums. I want slip! I want bounce! These both feel too shy. Give me some drama pls.

Taking notes!! I’ve been serum hopping lately and I need something with more body. Torriden’s great but I think I’m ready to upgrade.

You’d probably like the Mixsoon bean essence or even the Nine Less A-Control Ampoule—way more texture and presence.

The onion one surprised me! I was lowkey scared of the scent but it’s barely there and doesn’t linger. Niacinamide + onion is a WEIRD combo but hey, my redness calmed down.

I started using the Isntree Onion Newpair Ampoule during a major skin freak-out—my barrier was wrecked from over-exfoliation and I had these angry red patches around my nose and chin. My routine at the time was stripped down to just the basics:

🧼 AM: Low-pH gel cleanser → Newpair Ampoule → Round Lab Birch Juice Moisturizing Cream → Sunscreen
🌙 PM: Micellar water cleanse → Pyunkang Yul toner → Newpair Ampoule (2 layers) → Avene Cicalfate+

I honestly didn’t expect much at first, but by the 4th day, the redness had noticeably calmed down and my skin didn’t feel as hot or reactive. It’s not instantly soothing like some cica serums, but it’s that steady, calming kind of recovery. The texture is lightweight and absorbs fast, so I could easily layer it with other hydrating products without it pilling. I still keep it in rotation whenever I feel like my skin's veering into irritated territory.
