Caffeine Solution | Glycolic Acid Toning Solution | Salicylic Acid Masque
Skin Type : Oily-combination, very sensitive
Climate : Hot and humid
Usage Duration : 4 months (Caffeine Solution & Glycolic Acid)
Caffeine Solution - It works, slowly, but surely.
I had pretty intense dark circles (non-genetic), and after two weeks of using this, I noticed a difference. Not a dramatic one but I realized my upper eyelids looked darker simply because my under-eye area was lightening up. That’s when I started applying it all around my eyes.
Four months later, with almost-daily use, the darkness has evened out. It’s not completely gone, but it’s significantly lighter. This is the only product that’s worked on my dark circles and I’ve tried everything under the sun. I’m in it for the long game; realistically, it might take another 8 months for full results (if that’s even possible), and I’m okay with that.
Note : I don’t have puffiness, so I can’t comment on that.
Pros :
It works.
A little goes a long way.
Cons :
Not moisturizing enough on its own layering a moisturizer or nourishing eye cream over it.
Stings on freshly tweezed skin or if you use too much. One drop is enough for both eyes.
Results take time to expect to commit to it for a year.
Will repurchase.
Glycolic Acid Toning Solution - Holy grail for body issues.
I don’t throw around the term “holy grail” lightly, but this stuff is it for my body care.
Usage #1 : Underarms
Eliminated body odor
Lightened underarm skin
Reduced ingrown bumps
I apply a few drops every morning after showering. I only use perfume oils now as they go on right after this, and I smell like my perfume all day. I used to get a little musky by evening, even with scrubbing, but not anymore. This product has seriously boosted my confidence.
Note : Avoid using deodorants or alcohol-based perfumes immediately after. Stick to perfume oils or solid deodorants. And don’t apply right after shaving as it stings.
Usage #2 : KP on arms and legs
I haven’t been consistent because I have other KP products to use up, but when I used this on my legs for just a week, the difference was major. Better than any other KP treatment I’ve tried. I’ll switch to this exclusively once I finish my current stash. Follow with moisturizer, always.
Pros :
Magic. Everything it touches turns to gold.
Big bottle and great value.
Cons :
Likely too strong for the face. I haven’t dared to try.
Will definitely repurchase.
Salicylic Acid Masque - Meh. You’re not missing out.
This didn’t do much for me as a mask. I felt a bit of a “clean” feeling after the first use, but that could’ve been placebo. Where it does shine is as a spot treatment as it speeds up the life cycle of a pimple. I dab a little on zits, and by the next day, they’re either ready to pop (don’t worry, I don’t) or already healing. It also seems to help with post-pimple pigmentation.
Pros :
Decent spot treatment for active pimples.
Cons :
Annoying texture as it’s either stuck in the tube or explodes out randomly.
A pain to rinse off as a full mask.
Feels like it’s still figuring out its life purpose (same, honestly).
Probably won’t repurchase.
Stay tuned for Part 2:)
