Is This the Ultimate Antioxidant Serum?

Skin type : 24/M/Dry

Concerns : Premature fine lines, dullness, mild hyperpigmentation

Where to buy : Myntra, Amazon

Packaging : Airless pump

After finishing my first bottle and diving into my second, I feel confident calling the Paula’s Choice RESIST Super Antioxidant Serum a staple in my skincare lineup. Coming from vitamin C serums like Envita C and VCX, I was on the lookout for something that struck the right balance,  no greasy residue, no heavy silicone finish, and, most importantly, compatible with my morning SPF.

At first glance, the price gave me pause. But after nearly five months of daily use (three pumps every morning, applied on slightly damp skin), I can say the value is there. The airless pump packaging is brilliantly designed, a disc gradually pushes up the product, preventing oxidation and ensuring zero waste. No need to cut the bottle open or resort to scooping out the last drops with a cotton bud.

Texture-wise, this serum leans oily but absorbs within seconds, leaving no tackiness or residue behind. It layers perfectly under sunscreen and makes for a comfortable morning routine, no pilling, no strange interactions, just smooth skin and a sense of protection.

The formula is genuinely impressive. It combines tried-and-true antioxidants like Vitamin E, Niacinamide, Resveratrol, Ubiquinone, and Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, an oil-soluble form of Vitamin C that's known for deeper skin penetration and better stability. Though the exact percentage of vitamin C isn’t disclosed, I experienced zero irritation or tingling, even with sensitive skin. This serum has a supporting cast of calming agents like Bisabolol and Sea Whip Extract that likely contribute to that gentle experience.

Results? Subtle but cumulative, the kind I love. Over time, I noticed a faint but definite radiance return to my skin. My hyperpigmentation has visibly softened, and the early fine lines I was beginning to worry about now seem far less pronounced. It's not a magic bullet, but it is a quiet achiever, the kind of product you miss only when you stop using it.

Would I repurchase? Absolutely, in fact, I already have. This one has earned its Holy Grail status in my routine, and I can’t imagine my mornings without it.

I’ve been using the Paula’s Choice RESIST Super Antioxidant Serum for about a month now, and I’m loving it! My skin feels so much smoother, and I’ve noticed some softening of my hyperpigmentation. Anyone else had good results with this? 🤔

Same here! I was a bit skeptical at first because the price was higher than what I usually go for, but after using it daily for a few weeks, my skin definitely feels more radiant. No irritation, which is a huge win for my sensitive skin. Plus, I love how it layers under sunscreen. 😎

I tried this serum and didn’t see any dramatic changes, but I can’t deny it’s a solid addition to my routine. The texture is really nice as it absorbs quickly without feeling greasy. It’s more subtle results, but I’ve been sticking with it. The airless pump is genius too. 👌

I’m with you on the texture! It’s slightly oily at first but absorbs fast, leaving no residue. I’ve been using it for a couple of months, and while I haven’t seen overnight results, my skin definitely looks more even. I haven’t had any irritation, so that’s a huge bonus for me. I was worried about the Vitamin C content, though, did anyone else feel like it didn’t sting or tingle?

No tingling for me! That’s why I was so drawn to it. My skin tends to react to a lot of Vitamin C serums, so I was really happy with this one. It’s not super strong, but it seems to work just as well without the irritation.

@Influencer Same! I feel like the combination of Niacinamide and Vitamin E in this is what makes it so gentle. I’ve used other vitamin C serums that left my skin red, but not this one. I think it’s the calming ingredients that help balance it out.

Just wanted to mention i noticed this serum really helped with my fine lines too. I’ve been using it for about 6 weeks, and those little lines around my eyes and mouth are softer. Not gone, but definitely less noticeable. 😊

I totally agree on the fine lines! I’m in my 30s, and I was starting to see those early signs of aging. This serum has helped keep things in check. I wouldn’t say it’s a miracle product, but it’s definitely been a good, steady addition to my routine. I’m sold!

That’s good to know! I’m almost done with my bottle, so I think I’ll repurchase. It’s not life-changing, but it’s one of those products that keeps working over time. Definitely worth the price when you consider the packaging and the ingredients.

Exactly! It’s been one of those quiet achievers for me. Doesn’t promise magic, but it really does deliver results when you stick with it. Plus, I love how it doesn’t interfere with my other products. 🙌

I’m curious, has anyone tried it with other vitamin C serums? Do you think this would still be effective if paired with a more potent formula? 🤔

I haven’t tried it with another Vitamin C, but I think this one works well as a daily antioxidant boost. If you’re looking for something stronger, you could try layering it, but I’d probably stick with this one for a gentler, everyday routine.

Hmm, that’s a good point! I’ve been thinking of adding something a bit stronger to my routine, but I don’t want to overdo it. Maybe I’ll try layering with something like Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate from another brand to keep it gentle but still potent.

@Influencer That sounds like a solid plan! I think pairing a more potent one at night with this in the morning could balance things out. You get the best of both worlds: a stronger treatment at night and this serum for daily protection without the irritation.

Exactly what I was thinking! I don’t want to go overboard, but layering feels like a smart way to get more out of my routine without overloading my skin. I’ll have to check if the other product I’m considering has that nice balance of being potent but still gentle.

@Influencer For sure! You can also look for serums that include calming ingredients like Niacinamide or Bisabolol to prevent irritation while using stronger actives. That’s why I think this Paula’s Choice serum works so well as it has the right mix of antioxidants and soothing ingredients. It feels like a no-brainer.

I totally agree. The calming ingredients are definitely key, especially with something like Vitamin C, which can be a bit harsh if not balanced out. Thanks for the insight! I think I’ve got a better idea of how to approach layering now. 😊

@Influencer Happy to help! Honestly, if you’re layering actives, just be sure to give your skin time to adjust. You don’t want to overwhelm it all at once. But as long as you go slow and listen to your skin, you should be golden!

Definitely! I’ll start slow and make sure to monitor how my skin reacts. I’m excited to give this a try. Thanks again for the advice! 🙌
