SunSERUM not a sunscreen

Hi everyone

I've been through like 5 bottles of this sun serum until now. And I think I won't gonna change the suncare product anymore in my life from now on.

So I wanna introduce this sun serum to you guys.

To begin with, my current skin type is dry on cheecks and chin, and oily on nose and forehead.

If a skincare product clog pores, I have irritation and acne breakouts in anytime....

And I also have some bumps around my forehead- which is not a very crucial info in suncare review tho.

I live in the dry area of the UK so I prefer hydrating types of suncare even tho my nose and forehead gets kinda messy.

Im in my early twenties rn but i can promise u that ive tried at least more than 20 suncare products.

Every single of them cause acne around my forehead and cheeks.

And also I really hated that whenever I put on sunscreen, my base makeup looks so cakey....

I have gone through a numerous amount of suncare items to finally find one that doesn't cause any acne in my skin.

The thing that caught my sight at first was its name.

i) Hyalu-Cica

ii) Sun serum

From the Hyalu-Cica part, I expected it to be hydrating AND soothing.

And from the sun serum part, i was kinda afraid.

As i told u before, ive tried numerous types of suncare and one of them was sunserum.

Whenever i used sunserum, it was kinda too oily for me, which caused acne around my forehead.

I think many of u guys wont know the exact difference between sunserum and sunscreen so i made a brief table that explains bout it.

As u can see, the main drawback of sunserum is that its SPF/PA may be lower than a sunscreen.

So I want u guys to always check the SPF/PA whenever u buy anykind of sunserum.

This one, however, was FINE.

Its UV-B protectin level (SPF) was SPF 50+ and UV-A protection level (PA) was PA++++.

It is enough unless u live in a desert or smth-idk.....

U should also keep in mind that if UV protection level is far higher than the level u actually needed, that is also terrible for ur skin since it can clog ur pores, irritate, or cause stinging.

The way I used it, was just the same way as a sunscreen. I used it after moisturiser and before my base makeup.

The wonderful part of this sunserum is its texture. It was just like its name WATER-FIT.

It is hydrating, which i expected since it is a sunserum, and also has excellent adherence to the skin.

I won't say it has zero white cast, but i can tell that they had minimised it.

And the white cast disappears in around 5-10mins.

The best part of this texture was how if felt during applying. It spread effortlessly without clumping or tugging which i HATE about a suncare product. It just feels like applying a regular moisturiser. NO CAP.

The ingredients of this sunserum are water, dibutyl adipate, propanediol, diethylamino hydroxybenzoyl hexyl benzoate, polymethylsilsesquioxane, ethylehexyl triazone, methylene bis-benzotriazolyl tetramethylbutylphenol, niacinamide, coco-caprylate/caprate, caprylyl methicone, diethylhexyl butamidoo triazone, glycerin, 1.2-hexanediol, butylene glycol, centella asiatica extract, betula platyphyila japonica bark extract, ginkgo biloba leaf extract, camellia sinesis leaf extract, tritcum vulgare (wheat) sprout extract, medicago sativa extract, brassica oleraces italica sprout extract, eruca sativa leaf extract, camellia japonica leaf extract, sodium hyaluronate, behenyl alcohol, poly c10-3- alkyl acrylate, polyglyceryl-3 methylglucose distearate, decyl glucoside, tromethamine, carbomer, acrylates/c10-30 alkyl acrylate crosspolymer, sodium stearoryl glutamate, polyacrylate crosspolymer-6, adenosine, xanthan gum, t-butyl alchohol, tocopherol, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, inositol, hyaluronic acid, pentylene gylcol, ethylhexylglycerin.

I know that this ingredient list is hard to understand so ive done some studies about some key ingredients among these.

Among these ingredients, glycerin, butylene glycol, propanediol, pentylene glycol , sodium hyaluronate, hydrolysed hyaluronic acid, hyaluronic acid, inositol, 1,2-hexanediol works as humectants which attract and retain moisture in the skin by drawing water from the environment. They keep the skin hydrated and plumped. After using this sun serum, I could feel the instant glow around my skin. It was the dewy glow I wanted since dewy glowy skin has been viraled vm in tiktok..... :))))

As i expected from its name, it also has soothing agents.

Centella Asiatica extractm camellia sinensis leaf extract, camellia japonica leaf extract, ginkgo biloba leaf extract, betula platyphyila japonica bark extract are those. They help reduce redness, irritation, and inflammation. They strengthen the skin barrier and provide antioxidant support. These extracts can be very beneficial ingredients for sensitive skin with weak skin barrier.

So it did satisfy what i expected from its name hyalu-cica by including both humectants and soothing agents in its ingredients.

Even though i loved its dewy glowy finish, i wont recommend this sunserum to girlies with extremely oily skin. It can be TOO MUCH.

But still, it was perfect for me, and i loved its hydration and texture.

I would rate it 4/5!

If i find another great item, i promise i will introduce it to u.
