Finding the perfect cleansing balm can be a game-changer in any skincare routine, especially for those with sensitive or oily skin. The APRILSKIN Carrotene IPMP Hydromelt Cleansing Balm (3.04 fl. oz) has been gaining popularity in the Korean skincare world for its gentle yet effective formula designed to tackle blackheads and breakouts. But does it truly live up to the hype?

In this review, I’ll share my personal experience with the product, breaking down its features, pros and cons and ultimately answer the question - Is it worth buying?

Finding a reliable cleansing balm for sensitive and oily skin can be a daunting task. The APRILSKIN Carrotene Balm claims to do just that, helping to reduce blackheads and breakouts while being kind to delicate skin. Here’s what stood out to me.

Key Features
Ingredients : Formulated with grapefruit peel oil, O-Cymen-5-Ol, and other skin-loving components, this balm is designed to deeply cleanse pores without irritation. Its noncomedogenic formula is ideal for acne-prone or clogged skin.

• Texture & Application : The balm melts effortlessly into the skin, transforming into a silky oil that removes makeup, sunscreen, and impurities. It rinses clean without leaving a greasy residue, which is great for oily or sensitive skin types.

• Scent : The mild citrus scent from grapefruit peel oil is refreshing but not overpowering, just enough to enhance the cleansing experience.

Pros

- Noncomedogenic and gentle on sensitive skin

- Effectively removes makeup and impurities

- Helps reduce blackheads and breakouts over time

- Lightweight, travel-friendly packaging

Cons

- Slightly higher price point compared to some drugstore alternatives

- May not suit those sensitive to fragrances though the scent is light and natural

My Experience

Using the APRILSKIN Carrotene IPMP Hydromelt Cleansing Balm has been a refreshing addition to my skincare routine. It delivers on its promise of deep cleansing while being gentle. After a few weeks of consistent use, I noticed fewer breakouts and a visible reduction in blackheads. It even removes waterproof makeup with ease, making it an excellent one-step cleanser for the end of the day.

Is It Worth Buying?

In my opinion, yes. The APRILSKIN Carrotene IPMP Hydromelt Cleansing Balm is a great option for those with oily or sensitive skin who struggle with breakouts and congestion. While it’s priced a bit higher than some alternatives, the quality and performance make it a worthy investment.

Thanks for this detailed review! I’ve been debating between this and the Beauty of Joseon balm. Would you say this one is better for someone who wears heavy sunscreen daily but little to no makeup?

Did you get this directly from APRILSKIN or Amazon? Just wondering if there’s a difference in packaging or freshness cuz I’ve seen some mixed reviews on third-party sellers 😩

Got this the official store of APRILSKIN on Amazon. And i know what you're saying girl. I've purchased other products from the third-party sellers and most of them were fakes or had the old formula😡😡

I’m so glad someone FINALLY reviewed this! I almost picked it up during Olive Young’s sale but held back. Seeing you mention fewer blackheads is making me reconsider!! Do you think it’d be okay for combo skin too?
