So, I jumped on the numbuzin No.5 Glutathione C mask train because it’s been all over Instagram and people were raving about it. It’s bright yellow, it’s supposed to give you a glow, and I thought it would be something special.
First off, I didn’t get it from the U.S. or anything. I ordered mine from StyleKorean (yeah, another one of those K-beauty sites) and it took forever to get here. It cost me like $12 for a pack of 4 masks. I figured, why not? If it works, great. If not, I didn’t waste too much money.
I opened the pack, and what do I find? A weird yellow sheet mask. I mean, seriously, it’s bright yellow. Not subtle at all. I was expecting it to be some kind of high-tech, glow-up thing, but it’s just… a mask. Nothing fancy. The essence inside is clear though, so that was a surprise. It felt kind of thick, like sticky but in a good way? Kinda moisturizing. It wasn’t like those watery masks where you can tell the product is basically disappearing.
Putting it on felt fine, nothing wild. I kept it on for about 20 minutes, as usual. Took it off, rubbed the excess serum into my skin. Honestly, it was just like any other sheet mask. My skin felt hydrated and looked a little more even. No crazy glow, no dramatic change. Just… basic.
The mask claims to have glutathione and vitamin C for brightening, but I didn’t see much of a difference. If you’re someone who wants serious brightening or a miracle mask, this isn’t it. It didn’t do anything to my skin that other masks haven’t done before. I still had dry spots around my nose, and my face didn’t feel super different.
I gave it a shot because I thought maybe I was missing something, but honestly? It’s just another sheet mask. It didn’t blow me away like some other products I’ve tried. It’s okay if you’re looking for a regular mask to use, but don’t expect your skin to look like you’ve had a facial or anything.
In the end, I wouldn’t buy this again. It’s fine, but I don’t think it’s worth all the hype. If you want a solid mask that does the job without a ton of fuss, go for something else.
